New patches:3DMARK 06, 05 and also PCMARK 05

Got this EMAIL today, thought I would pass this along to all the "HWBOT Junkies" since you will need to patch your old copy or just grab a new one with the patches installed (Prefered method) to submit scores from now on.

I am sure the Non-Pro users will not be happy about the item I highlighted in red..but it's not realy that big of deal for most of you.

Vista support is now included...

Dear Futuremark Professional Customer,

Futuremark Corporation is pleased to announce the immediate availability to new software patches for all our supported benchmarks;3DMark06, 3DMark05 and PCMark05.

Available immediately, these free downloadable software patches and installers provides the official updated version to our benchmarks. Only scores obtained via these new versions, along with approved drivers, should be used in valid performance statistics, reviews, comparisons and services provided by Futuremark.

Futuremark encourages you to download the patches to ensure comparable benchmark results.

Technical Details Associated with the PatchesNew feature for the Basic Editions:

The Advanced & Professional Editions will continue to show the results offline, but the latest builds of the supported Futuremark benchmarks introduce a new feature for all Basic Edition (Free) users - the score is viewable online only.

This new feature will enable new users to get an online analysis of their system, and to quickly & easily compare their results to others. The new online service called "Result Analyzer" is one of the key elements of the next generation of benchmarks from Futuremark.

3DMark06 Build 1.1.0:* Windows Vista enabled; (** Fixed splash screen on Windows Vista;* Fixed some Excel issues;* Improved startup speed by optimizing the SystemInfo component;* Updated SystemInfo component with support for the latest CPU and graphics hardware;* Fixed all reported & reproduced issues.

PCMark05 Build 1.2.0:* Windows Vista enabled; (** Fixed splash screen on Windows Vista;* Fixed WMP detection;* Fixed transparent windows issues;* Fixed looping issues with HDD tests;* Improved startup speed by optimizing the SystemInfo component;* Updated SystemInfo component with support for the latest CPU and graphics hardware;* Fixed all reported & reproduced issues.

3DMark05 Build 1.3.0:* Fixed looping issues;* Improved startup speed by optimizing the SystemInfo component;* Updated SystemInfo component with support for the latest CPU and graphics hardware;* Fixed all reported & reproduced issues.

Note: 3DMark05 Build 1.3.0 has not been tested, or enabled for Windows Vista.
3DMark05 should only be used in Windows XP SP2 (32bit) with all the latest updates.(* = To run the benchmark in Windows Vista 64bit, please run the application as administrator.

Notes:*
3DMark06 Build 1.1.0, 3DMark05 Build 1.3.0 and PCMark05 Build 1.2.0 are the only supported versions.
The Online ResultBrowser doesn't allow submissions from any of the previous versions of the benchmarks.*
The new builds are available both as patches and as full installation packages, except 3DMark05 which is only available as a full install package.

It really ticked me off that I'm going to have to download 06 again. A simple patch would have been nice.
