Just downloaded and ran it, there is a issue with the "Canyon" test, it slows down to the point you would think the test has bombed out, but it will finish if you give it a minute. I was a bit disapointed they re-used the first two tests from 05, It seems as if they rushed this to release.

EDIT: After further testing, I had my Video card core a mere 25MHZ above stock, and it was causing an isue with the Canyon test. I cannot seem to complete a test properly with it 1MHZ above stock, however I have been able to run the memory a bit above stock. I was easily able to break 5,000 with the video cards at stock speed and the CPU at 2.7GHZ
This will require a bit more investigation to find the root cause.

That piece of software isn't getting anywhere near my 9800Pro

It looks like the test might be pretty RAM limited. Your specs match up pretty well with that 9000 score, but you only have 500 MB of RAM in there

Nice man. I just bought it 15 bucks to upgrade.

So what did they do? Up the resolution on '05 and give us 3 new tests? It certainly does look like they forced this one out.

HDR and SM3.0 tests may not run as good on the X8x0 Radeon cards...

Maybe Time for an upgrade, except I've only had this card for 7 months. Also looks like you need a Dual Core CPU to get a really good result. I might be able to get the number 1 X800 XL if no one with a Dual Core CPU post's a result.
At least I have my 03 and 05 results to brag about (There good for X800 XL's), and my Aquamark is pretty good aswell!

Do you have to run the test in 1280x1024? My monitor doesn't support that... It maxes out at 1280x960. Can you change it in the free version?

Although I must admit I'm "tempted" by the 3Dmark series... I'd rather prefer "real gaming life" tests...

I hear your [H]umble opinion - the synthetics are just a great way to compare hardware/configurations - the synthetics that spit out a number will at least let you know if what you have works better/worse at doing what the hardware is supposed to do on a pure performance level - the "real life" testing may or may not be even noticible - but at least you can sport the bragging rights

I just finished running it and was quite supprised when I saw the familiar "Return To Proxycon," after that, I wasn't supprised to see the fire fly forest and Canyon flight. Don't get me wrong, I think it looks great, but I too agree that it seems to be rushed. The scene in the credits is also from 05.
