Very low score...

Ok, now i'm not saying i have the fastest machine out there (NO WHERE NEAR THAT AT ALL!!!) but i always thought my machine is a little faster than 3dMark03 tells me...the 3DMark SCore i agree with because my graphics card (FX5200) sucks big time, but my CPU score is a paltry 100points....? This just doesn't seem right at all...here are my specs

AMD Athlon XP 2800+ (2.082Ghz)
PC Chips M848ALU (what i believe to be the culprit...)
512MB DDR Ram (333Mhz)
Sound Blaster Extigy
GeforceFX 5200

if there is anything else y'all need to know, please let me know. I'm almost 99% sure its my motherboard that stinks a big one...

My score is 1087-1089

I bet you try it with a better graphics card you will be suprised... I feel that the main thing is your vid card..The 5200 is not that much better than the ti4200.. In most aspects I feel the ti4200 is better but does not support dx9..

and PCChips boards tend to blow. Not blow as in go bad, but blow as in suck.

It is definitely your video card keeping your scores down.

Not trying to spite you, but I'm getting around 200 points higher than you with a 2.4B and a ti4200.

my video card and my motherboard suck. i can put my friend's fx5700 and it'll still get the same low ass CPU score...i'm planning to upgrade to a new mobo this summer anyways

Upgrade that mobo to an MSI or a Tyan then tackle that video card
