Default Pcmark 2004

Just got done running a few tests on PCMARK 2004.

You can Download it HERE

You will also need the Window Media Encoder 9 Series HERE

You can activate the full version for a fee, that will unlock more tests. The demo version has a much better Graphics test than PCMARK 02
(Like RagTroll in 3dmark 03, but with 3-D blocks)

I ran the test on a 500MHZ K6-2 with a GForce4 MX420. They reccomend at least a 1GHZ processor, but I was curious to see what would happen on a slower CPU.

Since I am the only K6-2 score listed on the ORB, I guess I will be King of the Hill in that category for a Long Long time...

I learned the long, and expensive way, never, never, cut corners on the ram...you'll chase it till the cows come home...gotta have the best ram you can get a hold of. IMO, dollar for dollar the best upgrade there is.

Oh and to anyone new to this you plan on doing 1:1 be causious about what type of chips are the ram.

OCZ Platinum PC3200 CH-5 only got to 230 1:1 2-3-3-8 b4 I killed it at 235 1:1

Hynix chips used in most PC4000 to PC4400 will only run 1:1 on Asus mobos

Some websites still have a little Kingston HyperX BH-5 left, try like axiontech or zipzoomfly.com, this is by no means a garauntee.

Christ guys, I hardly broke 2k on my first run, and can't break 2k anymore (then again, I left all my background crap running too..)

Must be time to fiddle with things again

When you check it out, this is officially known as waking Bubba Ho-Tep.

Guess I'll have to get in the running, I haven't messed with 2K4 except as a benchmark for some review items I've had lately. I'll have to crank up the personal system....naw. Never mind.

I don't like MadOnion/FutureMark.
