| Make sure that you have all the latest codec and software that PCMark04 Tests with. Especially things like Window Media Encoder 9, DiVx, etc these are the things that effect the score greatly, believe me I was ripping my hair out the first few times I ran this benchmark till I realized i didn't have the latest Codec, etc. ~Bob | ||

| Dude.. you have way too much money!! ![]() 2GB of Corsair Extremem mem? Damn.. Is that (2) 1GB Sticks? Actually to get better scores, doesn't matter how much RAM you have, but the speed and timing. You want mem speed that will match your CPU on a 1:1 timing. And at that timing you want the tightest timing possible. For example, I'm running 1GB Corsair 3200C2PT at 232 @ 2-3-3-6. Also, 232Mhz is the max FSB I can get for my CPU. To that is the most optimal timing I can achieve. Also, I looked at your Mobo, Intel board are well known for Stability, but gives very little option for OC'ing. So here are a few tips to increase your scores: 1. Get Faster Ram (maybe (2) 256mb, with high speeds and tight timing) 2. Get a better board made for OC'ing (Abit IC7-Max3, or an ASUS board) Also, what AGP is your BIOS set for? It says you are running at 0x.. that is kinda weird. Maybe an Intel mobo thing. Here is my score: http://service.futuremark.com/compare?pcm04=2522084 5754points I'm actually #2 overall for the nVidia 6800 Class / All CPU in pcmark2k4 Let me know if you need any other tips. I'll try to help. SAD | ||

| SAD, is that your new Intel system toping out at 232 FSB? I know some of the more "bad" OCing mobos' are at least hitting 240 FSB. Then the SATA issue comes into play with the chipset voltage also affecting another 10 percent OC. I am just waiting for my X/800 XT to come in and I am ready to rock and roll with this new intel system. Hoping to hit 4 gigs, but i have read some bad news that the Abit AG8 board is toping out at around 260 FSB before SATA cuts out on you. Since you can only run SATA HD's with the new Intel boards, you are limited by the raising of the FSB alot. Plus, the PCI-E connector is not fully locked, and even if you somehow run with the single EIDE connector, that will screw you as well. I wish Intel would make a mutipier unlocked CPU for us Intel fan boys. (something like the FX line for AMD 64) | ||
