| I'ved been doing some testings to see if it's really worth it using Raid 0 setup with my hd's (2x320 Gb Sata2 Seagate) Well after 2 days of work i'm happy with the results. I've tried all the striping sizes that my on-board Array support 4k, 8k, 16k, 32k, 64k, & 128k found out that the best scores i've got was to use 16k striping size. I benchmarks with 2 softwares each time HDTune & HDTach , at first i tried with only 1 hd using Sata & no raid Single HD Sata no Raid i was getting average scores of 55.1 MB/s on HDTune & got 64.6 MB/s on HDTach. Now using Raid 0 & stripe size of 16k i'm getting average scores of 75.8 MB/s on HDTune & 121.7 MB/s on HDTach I don't know why there is so much differences between this two benchmarks (HDTune & HDTach)? wich one is more accurate? you can download these softwares & post your results for your HD (ide, sata , raid etc..) HDTune 2.53 HD Tune HDTach 3.0.4.0 HdTach Are these scores any good for a Raid setup? | ||
