I was just wondering the kinda ratings you guys are getting with vista.

We slapped it on a box at work recently and it was a riot:

1.0.

It's a P4/3.20, 1Gb... and a Matrox G450 because the intended video card was busted.

Thats pretty solid scarface.

Ok i am a noob when it comes to this, My system is kinda of old compared to what a lot of you guys run so i like to know how to go about seeing what my ratings are or what mine will runs at.

Edit: ok got it finally figured out now, this is what i have for a rating now remember my system is pretty old compared to you guys, this pc is my internet machine only and running 2 View Sonics 20.1'' dual monitors setup.

It wont go over a 6 ratting
so 5.9 is the best

though i wouldnt really be braggin about my vista score

Overall 4.1. My system specs are in my signature, but my CPU is currently running at 2.02, not 2.21.

Yea Vista scores aren't my cup of tea, I like real world performance, but i'd like to see what my semprons look like compared to them there dual cores so far.

ECS matvey has 6.2 for gaming, he must have the good 2900XT, the one AMD boasted about.

Meh the vista scores are more meant as a replacement to the minimum/recomended requirements that get placed on software boxes. A roundabout number is much easier to understand than a list of system components.

Yup - I think it's an excellent idea on Microsoft's part. Anything that makes PCs and software easier to understand for Joe Public is a great thing.

To clear up confusion my ratings were 5.1 and 5.2 not 6.1 and 6.2
