Default Is This A Good System Setup?

After asking around a bit on the forums, I've come up with a system I plan on constructing in about 2 weeks for gaming (virtually all types, new and old) and general productivity (Lightwave v9, Photoshop, Flash, Office stuff, Programming). Basically a General Ass-Kicking system under 2000 dollars. What I was wondering was if the system is a pretty good setup.

So here are the specs so far:
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Conroe 2.4GHz 4M Shared L2
Motherboard: ASUS P5B LGA 775 Intel P965
Memory: CORSAIR XMS2 1GB (2 x 512MB) DDR2 800
Video Card: SAPPHIRE 100177L Radeon X1950XTX 512MB 256-bit GDDR4
Hard Drives: Seagate Barracuda 7200.9 ST3500641AS 500GB
Power Supply: OCZ GameXStream OCZ600GXSSLI ATX12V 600W
CPU Fan: ZALMAN CNPS9500 AT 2 Ball

(Compiled from an Excel sheet. All detailed names from Newegg.com).

The CPU fan I'm not sure about, I just want one that is relatively small and incredibly quiet. Also, I was wondering what a good case for this system would be, as well as nice 80mm and 120mm fans that were quiet (and no LEDs). So, let me know what you guys think.

It would be a massive step up from an AthlonXP system. Though I'd probably wait for ATi R600 based cards if you want a whole new computer, DX10 is the main reason.

Also, do you not want 2GB of RAM. I'll find you a good price on a kit.

Here you go.
$170 for 2GB on newegg
Newegg.com - A-DATA 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail
This is $210 and considered very good
Newegg.com - G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail

I'm with Zaltan, 2 gig is the bare minimum these days.

ADD: Go with those Gskill, you won't regret it.
