After asking around a bit on the forums, I've come up with a system I plan on constructing in about 2 weeks for gaming (virtually all types, new and old) and general productivity (Lightwave v9, Photoshop, Flash, Office stuff, Programming). Basically a General Ass-Kicking system under 2000 dollars. What I was wondering was if the system is a pretty good setup.
So here are the specs so far:
| CPU: | Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Conroe 2.4GHz 4M Shared L2 |
| Motherboard: | ASUS P5B LGA 775 Intel P965 |
| Memory: | CORSAIR XMS2 1GB (2 x 512MB) DDR2 800 |
| Video Card: | SAPPHIRE 100177L Radeon X1950XTX 512MB 256-bit GDDR4 |
| Hard Drives: | Seagate Barracuda 7200.9 ST3500641AS 500GB |
| Power Supply: | OCZ GameXStream OCZ600GXSSLI ATX12V 600W |
| CPU Fan: | ZALMAN CNPS9500 AT 2 Ball |

(Compiled from an Excel sheet. All detailed names from Newegg.com).
The CPU fan I'm not sure about, I just want one that is relatively small and incredibly quiet. Also, I was wondering what a good case for this system would be, as well as nice 80mm and 120mm fans that were quiet (and no LEDs). So, let me know what you guys think.
