If that's true I might actually look in to buying one--provided some decent games come out for it.

The only good game I know of for PS3 is Warhawk. Which is like Battlefield.

Why not just go play battlefield?

The PS3 is dead to me. It has been out for a year, and still, there has yet to be a good game for it.

I'd rather buy a Wii. I just played Metroid Prime 3, it was amazing, amazing enough to make me want the console.

Ratchet & Clank, later this month.


I've probably had 40+ hours on number 3, proper games.

Assasin's Creed & IV soon.

Doesn't it make you thankful you shelled out your whole ****ing paycheque to get a PS3 when it first came out and only now are there two (yes, ONLY TWO) good games on the way?

Oh and Orange Box. >.>

Honestly, I don't see how Sony can recover at this point.

The Wii's appeal:

1. Everyone know's the name Nintendo and associates it with games and Mario
2. It already has a few great games out so far, and some promising titles on the way.
3. Cheap, and accessable to pretty much anyone.

Con's

1. Not much appeal to gamers with a love for eye candy. Only does 480p
2. Good luck finding one

Xbox 360's appeal:

1. Thanks to the Halo series, everyone knows about the Xbox
2. It has Halo 3, that's pretty much enough to keep it running for a long time.
3. The biggest line-up of future games that actually look fun.
4. Keeps getting all those PS3 exclusives
5. Orange Box
6. You'd be surprised how much achievement's make you want to play more.

Cons:

1. Buying the core is like shooting yourself in the foot
2. Stupid annoying hipster douche bag fanbase
3. Xbox live is full of 13 year olds.
4. Has a history of dying.

The PS3's pro's:

1. Built in Blue-ray player for all you HD nuts, but personally, the format wars are stupid. No one cars whether or not it's HD-DVD or Blue-Ray. They don't care, and companies don't have the marketing budget to make anyone care.
2. It will basically everything you want it to, except for play games.
3. Online access is free.

Con's:

1. It's current library is lackluster, and it doesn't have very many big name games on the way.
2. Losing most of it's exclusives to the 360.
3. Sell your car and you can buy one.
4. Same as #2 from pro's. It will do everything, but play games, because it doesn't have any games really worth playing, with the exception of Warhawk.

Again, the PS3 has Ratchet & Clank, have none of you played the PS2 games? This game will move some consoles, not to mention it will be a VERY cold day in hell before R&C goes to the RRoD box. Then of course Singstar for the PS3 will probably move a sh*tload of consoles in Europe and GT5 will also unload a few. Not to mention the significantly better reliability of the PS3 over an unnamed box

Buying the Core/Arcade is not really shooting yourself in the foot. The memory card that comes with it is plenty for somebody that doesn't play too much.

Yah, I played the three that are currently out.

A new R&C, and "SingStar" (whatever that is), and a new GT aren't exactly the games I want to play.

R&C are obviously awesome games, but you don't know, they could possibly screw this one up.

Well the trailers show otherwise, and I wasn't talking about games that you would buy since it seems that they are few and far between
