Default Project: ßēŦǺ

So here is the case I am working on: (pics are taken from HERE) Since they were already uploaded, I just used those pics.

Heres what Im planning on doing ( in no particular order)
  1. Turbine mod (but without the nose cone-lol-Its Going to be sucking )
  2. Side Window
  3. Possible Top Window
  4. New Switched
  5. Plexy in the front since I dont have the front drive bay covers (I may also paint it)

Here is the work I did today. The PVC for the fan is to the left. I also bonded up the little holes on the bottom and started to fill in the crevice.

I didnt have the correct size for the fan, so all I had was a pipe adapter. I chose to cut that. But while doing so I found something intresting...

I might go to homedepot and get more of those adapters, They look Like Nuclear Cooling Towers! Sadly, I cant use this one, since it cracked when I was cutting it..

Yeap, I made that myself. It took A LOT of time, and I had to get the drilling right. I used Auto Cad to do it and a calculator to make sure everything was evenly spaced.

Update- July 29

I got bored and decided to bondo the PVC Pipe to the Case (I really dont know what to call it..lol)

Heres the inside which you may never see. I Dont know if I should leave the duct tape there, or take it off and bondo it. If I bondo, it would get more strength.

Heres 2 shots of testing how the fan will look

Thats how I want it to be, I want it to Suck In, but I think it looks ugly

This looks better. But that means I have to have 1 fan on the top Blowing in. I have an Idea of using the 4017 Decade Counter and Putting the LEDs inside the PVC so it looks like its spinning. For more Info See this:

Another Idea: Molex Lights

looking good so far. you want the front to blow in (suck in) or else your cooling will be very iffy. you could always just paint over the sticker.. or im not sure but if you flip the pos and neg on the motor would it spin reverse?

OK I'm confused. Isn't it blowing in the direction of the sticker? Don't 99.999% of fans work that way? Sticker out = exhaust.

Also, why aren't those pics sizing down?

Lookin good btw

Nope, the fan wont spin.

Air Enters Through the stickier side and blows from the good side. So if I have the good side facing me, It will Suck Outward (it will blow). Its no reversed, i have a fan thats the opposite of that, but its from germany.

You mentioned painting plexi for the drive bays. Not sure if your going to stealth the drives or how many, but you might consider a couple of things. On my last plexi project, I painted the back of the plexi and gave it that deep gloss finish with no work needed to the visible side. Not sure how that would look in this particular project.
The other idea is to cut and fit screen or modders mesh and bondo the are to match the rest of the paint and bezzel and help you on stealthing the drive(s). Just my opinion. I love plexi additions but I'm afraid it just won't match your project.

actually, I can do better. I'll tell you where I got em from. They were cheap, only 99 cents and blow 48CFM

Dam, Looks like they dont sell them anymore.

ADD: I made a mistake, Its a normal Fan :duh. But if you want a fan that goes in reverse (or atleast the opposite of an American Fan) Get this:
http://bgmicro.com/prodinfo.asp?sid=...ri=Fan&stype=3

162CFM at 24V.

I have a couple, and they blow!
