Default Project Vampire The masquerade.

Hello there.

This will be mi first time ever atempting to fully mod a case, before I just had cut blow holes, and once made a 120mm fangrill...

But since I got my new rig inside my sweet TT tsunami, I decided it was time to put my old case under the knife.... (or dremel in this case.)..

here it is, the mge sidewinder.

I loved this case, But I want to make it MY case so heres what I think will do.

1- Paint the interior and backplate of the case red.
2-Cut a blowhole on top of the case, but cutin the fangril directly of the top of te case...with the ankh desing.
3-Etch something on that side acrilyx panel.
4-Cit the other side panel with the ankh sing a light it up using red LEDs...

I know is green but I had no time to do it now...

here is a thread of something I tried before using the ankh for a fan grill...

I have already stripped the case and I will clean it tonite ill se if I can cut the back panel integarted 120mm fan grill, Il post pics as soon as I have them.

Any Imput or Ideas. are more than welcome.

Miguel

Personally, I'm not too big a fan of pre-mod cases, but I would think that taking off that front "cross" from the door, and replace it with a larger ankh would be a much nicer visual effect than a small one on the side panel... Good start, what else do you have in mind, mi amigo?

Well.... I don't have a lot of suggestions to make as this case has been "pre 'modded" to a large
extent... even in the black/red "color sheme" suiting this nice RPG.....

Which makes me think if it wouldn't be more exiting to introduce a 3rd color.... like a deep orange...
you could use that on the interior & back plate. AC Ryan has some colored/multicolored 4-led
uv reactive fans
you might want to check out...

Speaking of UV... you could also try some UV Reactive paint & a bunch of UV Cathodes... to make
everything "light up".... literally...

That its a great Idea granpa!!!! I could make the ankh out of acrlic, and have it light up with the led that is already at the door...

TDR Its a very interesting sugestion that of the UV paint.... I have to see if I an get it here in venezuela, as for a third color I was thinkin of Blue led fan ans CC lights....

Thanks for the quick reply

Heck, if it's a Vampire theme you have in mind, let's get thinking about:

red EVERYTHING components, ie: mobo/add-in cards with a red PCB, red LED cooling fans, etc

blood-red watercooling if you want it to be cool as a Vampire's heart...

a throbber LED setup (YO! TWIZ & LOKIE!!!) even though a Vampire's heart isn't supposed to be beating...

a set of vampire teeth etched into the window (or a whole new custom window, while you're at it)

a blood-red paint job on the inside (if it's not already there)...

As a big fan of Vampire the masquerade I have a few ideas.

1. Paint the inside black and throw some of the clan symbols around on the inside in either Silver or red.
or
Paint the inside black and as posted in the painting forum make a blood spatter effect inside with uv clearcoat
2. A new side window with some etching of some of the pics out of the book maybe even some quotes.
3. Top of the case out of acrylic make a rose paint it with UV paint and have it cover the blow hole on the top with a uv fan under it.
4.on the top instead of a rose pain some pieces of cloth red and orange to look like flames attach then to a fan grill Then with bondo make a the blow hole come up when the fan is on they will resemble flames shooting from the top of the computer.

I dunno just some quick ideas

I like the idea of the clan symbols... perhaps either etched into the edges of the window, or into the case itself...

I think I´ll go for the blood red paint on the inside of the case.
I was also thinking of doing a smal acrilic reservoir on the front were the big x in now and fill it with
a blood like liquid... and pipes that plug into the top of the case.... maybe back light it unsing some leds this would be pure cosmetic. as this case will be air cooled.

What do you guy think?

Depending how how much money you want to spend maybe get a pump to sort of look like the blood is being pumped through the viens? I dunno just a thought

Aside from it starting out with a premod case, I like the theme; Vampire the Masquerade should give you tons of ideas to use for this project. How about some kind of mod involving fangs in the front bezel? Maybe a fan intake with 4 bloodied fangs above/below it?

Everyone seems to want it painted all red, but I would suggest maybe you could paint it a pale fleshy color, with dark accents, and definitely some blood-red trim pieces...since vampires tend to have pale skin. You could also somehow implement a coffin inside or on top of the case.

Anyway, great theme for a mod project.

Here is an update. I finished wet sanding the chasis and I have painted the first coat of primer. I also removed the back fan grill. here are some pics.

I took apart the front door in order to have a better understanding of how to
build the acrilic reservoir, here are some pics.

as you can see I had to bag all the components cause I could not remove them form the psu ( I don't have an electric Solder and I did not want to lear to do that with this).

This will be the last updates For a while since I need to save some money to buy all the acrilyc and the parts a Need however I'll be doing a smaller mod. you can check it here:
