| Apex Techie Lite | Looks like a good first mod, make sure you correct the 3rd alchemical symbol or you'll invoke Baal's little demon brother while etching it. Or you could remove the Dell logo, that would also work. ![]() I'm hoping to do something similar (not exactly alike) to an old case of mine, but I don't like windows so I'll be etching on the metal. Hope I don't get hurt. Good luck with the mod, and if it doesn't work, at least enjoy yourself ![]() | |

| Don't worry about your rep points, they don't really mean a darn thing unless it's red. Most rep points are dished out 'buddy-to-buddy'. Just look at mine, I get about 1 rep point for every 1000 posts, or maybe it's one per year...rep points usually show no indication of one's modding abilities, they're more an indication of one's popularity. I don't come here to win popularity contests. Anyway, it looks like you rushed your paint job a little bit. Make sure you use several thin coats rather than a few heavy coats. Don't try to hurry it. Buy an extra can or two and use many thin layers of color, this will prevent your paint from sagging--as shown in the blue circled area aforementioned. Don't let it bother you, every single person here has overpainted something a time or 6. Just sand that area smooth again, wash away all the particles, let dry, and continue spraying on some thin coats in that area. The last thing to say, if it makes you feel any better, most of the people here will respect you a whole lot more for trying and putting in time and effort into your project, even if the final result isn't perfect, than someone who buys a $200 premodded case, slaps in a few lights and fans and bay-buses, and then expects everyone to crap their pants...and then they get superbly offended when criticized that they put no real effort into their "weekend project"! Always be receptive to peoples' advice here, and you will learn a lot of new skills and your second, third, and future mod projects will all get better and better! As you said, you're a "nub getting his mod on", well, keep it up and you will stop being a "nub"! | ||
