WELCOME TO PC APEX!

I think this is going to turn out really nice! Did you bend that divider acrylic piece? Very clean, you'll probably want to polish up that fan hole too. What color are you thinking about painting it?

+Rep for modding a cheap-o case! Low-buck modding is just what I do!

Welcome to PC Apex!!!

Always nice to see a fellow 'modder at work! Judging from the pics you posted you are going
for an mATX mainboard .... but I'm a bit puzzled as to where to air intake/exhausts will be
located... could you put some "arrows" in that 'sketchup?

If you don't already know about this little thing called Folding@Home here is some info about it.

OUR GOAL
Understanding how proteins self-assemble ("protein folding") is a holy grail of modern molecular biophysics. What makes it such a great challenge is its complexity, which renders simulations of folding extremely computationally demanding, and difficult to understand. The Stanford group has developed a new way to simulate protein folding. However, this method is extremely computationally demanding and they need our help.
For more info about it stop by F@H's home page here.

With that in mind you should read up on our team Team PCApex linkage. It is a great way to help humanity and PCApec alike.

If you are the competitive type you might want to join up in one of PCApex's sub teams for more info on them check these links.

I think I may have stumbled upon something awesome! I found a place that sells pickguard material blanks, granted it's not super-cheap, but they have some awesome material! I think I'm going to have to use some of this on my next mod...

http://www.warmoth.com/supplies/supp...tion=pickguard

(samples of their colors. Notice the pieces are multi-layered, so if you bevel them they have a nice edging effect!)

You're only 14--and you're Swedish--and you already broke out the sandpaper and elbow grease on that bad-boy. Well, you're already on the right track with me. Good job so far, don't forget to pay attention to all the details, and you'll come out with a nice-looking case!

Taken from wikipedia..

Quote:
Elbow grease is an old term for working hard at manual labor or trades. As in "put some elbowgrease into that". It is also used as a practical joke by master tradesmen on apprentices - e.g. "Go fetch some elbow grease from him". Each tradesperson will say someone else has the elbow grease and send the unwitting apprentice on to another master tradesperson. The snipe hunt will continue until the apprentice gives up, catches on or runs out of people/places to search.

You might also find it in a store near you....
