Really? I must've missed that! I've seen case frames powdercoated, but never the outer panels...and I guess I never expected powdercoating to have an orange-peel texture to it...but yes I agree, you can't rub out a powdercoated finish. But that's really odd, a powdercoated finish with that degree of orange peel texture?  | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

From what I have learned about power coat it is the same as paint except rather than blown on with air it is a power that statically holds onto surface till it can be melted out onto item.Better adhesion and smoother. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

Reason it's resistant to scratching, chemicals, etc etc is because it's plastic (applied in fine powder). Two entirely different beasts. Powder coating is to paint, as paint is to anodizing - all ways to protect a base metal, increase asthetics - but principals behind them aren't interchangable. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
