Default Project Blue Kandalf

Hey, I'm MadEx and this is my frist case mod project. Ive been looking at other worklogs on this site and others and I'm finally ready to mod my Computer case. The case im modding is a Thermaltake Kandalf. I don't have a lot of specialty tools but hopefully I can complete this project with the "polish" that you all are use to seeing.
Heres some pictures of the Kandalf if you havent already seen it.

At this point I have already disassembled the front bezel and have already done some slight cutting on some parts of the case as I get to those areas I'll show what ive done.

Default The front Bezel mod

This is part of the front bezel this is the piece that hides the 5.25 drive bays. I'm considering painting it (the easiest choice for me) or reproducing it in plexiglas(the better looking but more difficult to choice.)
The measurements are
L 19 ½ “ x W 6” and the metal is 1/8 thick.
I'm wonder since i have no experience with plexglas is it possible to send this part to Rideout Plastics or a local shop and have it reproduce it in plexi. I could atempt to make it myself but I dont have the proper tools. if anyone has any ideas please let me know.

Thanks.

When I frist bought the Kandalf I never even dreamed of trying to mod it. But after reading worklogs for the past five or six months I became inspired.

Thanks, I will do my best.

Post Pictures!

After two days of measuring and measuring I finally have made some progress.

The motherboard I'm using is Abit's Fata1ity AN8. This board is very RED on top of that it has RED leds on the bottom of the board that will not turn off. The color theme of this project is Blue, Sliver and Black. To get the red out, I tried to use a little viasine.

When that didnÂ’t work I decided to stealth the motherboard. I started out by measuring every single dimension of the motherboard and spacers. Once that was done I translated the measurements to a cardboard box.

And I started to cut.

And its done !

Now you see it....

And now itÂ’s Stealth! Well at least in theory; I still have to do some fine tuning.

I'll have some more updates in the next couple days.
