| I've been wanting to buy that keyboard locally for a long time... it hasn't showed up yet... Got the predecessor myself an really love it (I have to type a lot for my current study)... This one looks a WHOLE lot better, though! I'm going to keep my eye on this project... it looks it's going to be one heck of a monster! TDR And Digital-World... If I were you I'd go for the Noctua.... ![]() | ||

Yeah I have the had nothing but Natural Keyboards since they have arrived on the scene...In fact to take my typing test in college way back in 1999 I actually took my natural to class to take the test....Because typing on a regular keyboard would have severely limited my wpm count...LOL I can't begin to tell you just how comfortable this one really is....

| If your buying DDR2 make sure you get sticks with D9 chips. There the best DDR2 chips at the moment, and they easily do 800+ with tight timmings. http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...ad.php?t=77442 | ||

| question? why did you choose to go crossfire? is it better than sli? does it work the same way? man... i was just reading up on these chips... in august when prices drop... i might hafta snag me a 950 http://www.digitimes.com/news/a20060213PR218.html keep me posted w/ that mobo bro... i like the 975x chipset and the ability to sli or xfire.... ive heard of the 9xx chip easily getting 4.2-5.0ghz on air over at eocf... ive got a noctua that would be more than happy to cool one of these lil 65nm marvels Last edited by p0opstinksal0t; 17-February-06 at 08:50 PM.. | ||

| just a thought... personally i would stay away from a psu like that fortron..... if the pres. chips are power hungry like the pres. was... these voltages would go to well: +3.3@36A,+5V@30A,+12V1@15A,+12V2@15A,+12V3@15A,+12 V4@15A,-12V@0.5A,+5VSB@2A the fact that it has 4 rails is poop... it might cut it for an amd rig... i dont know too much about the pres. chips tho... but if i were biulding crazy intel rig... id stick with like 1 or 2 high amperage rails. trey | ||

Several at xtreme have used this psu and found it to be a lot better then some of the others on the market.....I will let you know how it goes...

It works similiar to SLI...though not the same.... ATI requires use of a DONGLE cable versus an SLI bridge.... The ATI solution also offers the ability to use different cards as long as one of your cards has the CROSSFIRE controller onboard.... Versus the SLI configuration requiring cards with the same bios.... Crossfire also offers differnt rendering abilitys when using both cards that the SLI does not.... However both sides have their strengths and weaknesses... ATI has not been a competitor in the dual video card arena ever untill the 1900 series came out.... The 1900 cards are everything the 1800 SHOULD have been... The best gaming rig on the market is still the AMDX2 running NF4 chipset and two 7800GTX 512 cards..... However the 1900's are cheaper for the same memory...a faster core speed and 48 pixel shaders.... I really just chose it to be different and break new ground...It doesn't hurt that I really do prefer the Intel/ATI route on most of my systems against the popular demand.... What fun is it if I build the same thing everyone else has? I look forward to seeing if ATI and Intel can pull of a new magic set like they had back in the days of the northwood 2.4c and the 9800Pro ...... If you haven't noticed...I am not alone...There are quite a few others who are looking at the OTHER side and giving it a shot....On the average it costs about 200 dollars more to use this setup then a comparable setup using the AMD/NVIDIA route..... Since the 975X boards are so darned expensive....and the Intel chips are much more costly per mhz then the AMD..... Remember If I can get this Intel up to 4.2Ghz....I still would be doing only as good as an X2 4400...running much slower in actual MHZ at 2.2 Ghz.... There are NO Intel / ATI rigs in the top 10 on any of the 3dmark charts..... SLI is still the way to go for ease of use, less power consumption, noise level and overall performance... However there are some gains for ATI in high pixel shaded games like FEAR etc..... Not to sell you off the Crossfire route...As I am sure your asking yourself, If he knows the SLI is better why buy the Crossfire? And that my friends is plain and simple....I wanted to try it out...pioneer unchartered territory....be outside the norm.....Use what will make ME happy.... Holy Sh** that is f****** crazy. Damn.... maybe you can share that keyboard with me .I am definately wanna see the benchies for this Crossfire setup. I have been reading reviews where the 1900XTX has been owning the nVidia cards, although I can't rememeber if this was for the 256GTX or the 512GTX... I have got a question, can you do quad SLI with this GPU because I want to do quad SLI real bad and that card has 2 7800Gts and takes up one x16 slot!!!! http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814121213 I saw a video of the new Dell with the quad SLI setup. It had 4 GTXs all lined up yet it didn't look nothing like the GPU in the above link. I am wondering if the new Dell mobo has 4 x16 slots or something. I really want to see the damn benchies for that Dell Renegade. In house overclocking to 4.26GHZ and four GTXs... what's not to like! Hurry up with your beautiful yet flexible setup Digital. Poop, if Digital doesn't like Crossfire that much, then he can easily change to SLI .Digital please consider lending me that keyboard PLZ!! The Dell QUAD SLI cards are manufactured for DELL only and are proprietary..... I thought they did not use 4 slots...somewhere I thought I read it was two slots...and the extra two cards were just daughterboards attached...Check the recent Max Pc mags....Maybe thats where I read it.... The asus cards stil have issues that they are working on..... Time will tell on those cards... As for the keyboard....Ummm I did that mod 5 years ago....I don't think I have it anymore....However you could read the guide and make your OWN...LOL....theres an idea eh? I will be running the first tests on this setup in less then a week...so stay tuned.... Digi....

| I read that it used up 2 x16 slots as well... if you all want a video about the Dell Renegade I can provide. I have been reading the review of how you backlit the keyboard, it's not bad at all. I am going to steal my friends keyboard and start from there .I'll stay tuned for the benchies... I want to see how those cards compare to the 512mb GTX. | ||

I can almost predict what will happen.... On games that dont require much PIXEL shading the GTX's will beat it out by 15-25 fps..... High pixel shaded games like BF2 or FEAR will have a large 35-40 fps increase for the XT's On another note...A few of you have asked me why I didn't get the XTX version of this card....and my answer is simple... The XT and XTX cards are identical in core...memory...architecture and cooling.... However the bios on the XTX is bumped up 25 mhz on the core and 100mhz on the memory.... small overclocks that cost $120.00 dollars from the factory....LOL Easy to make your own XTX speeds with a little knowledge...Hell it doesn't eve require any volt mods or crazy cooling... So review here... ATI Radeon 1900 XT 625 core 1450 memory $529.00 price tag.... ATI Radeon 1900 XTX 650 core 1550 memory $649.00 price tag.... So you see...there really is no reason to spend that extra cash....not for a smart person who knows how to get those speeds for free... On another note...You can get a refurbished 1900XT at newegg while supplies last for $498.00 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...2E16814195002R Last edited by Digital-World; 18-February-06 at 11:20 AM..

You do realize thoes cards will only be running at half their power. Does the mobo have dual 16x pci-e slots or 2 8x pci-e slots in crossfire mode?
