PimpRig Tribute Case

Well I know this is right on the heels of the name change but, I was vary attached to the name PimpRig and all that it stood for, so much so that I had PR etched on a window for me. I'm just throwing this idea out there, I donÃ‚â€™t have the time to build one but I will contribute money and parts to it. I saw we should just go for a killer case that would honor the site and all that PimpRig stood for. So post away guys and tell me what you think.

I like the idea..... but.... I dont think that it should be just about PimpRig..... I think it should be somehting more along the lines of what PimpRig stood for and where it is going with PCApex... a transitional type of theme....... what do you think?

yeah a transitional theme, with the left case panel being about the past with photo etching and the likes, and the right looking onward to the future!

I would agree too, but it's theme is tribute to the past, maybe another seperate thread/case to represent the new theme

(There is a thread here on cases made by APEX..hint hint!)

The Case for Hope was a learning experience, not a failure. Though it did not bring as much money as I would have liked, it did make money. Not to mention all the charity donations that were made in the process of the project. In addition to the awareness of the how breast cancer affects people everyday.

Make no mistake the Case for Hope in my eyes was a success. It is my hope that there will be other charity cases done by PCApex and it's sponsors, to boost awareness in this or other areas as well.

RED02 had mentioned that when he was running this idea past me (After I had linked him to the new site, he hadn't heard yet)

I suggested a Charity as an alternate idea... another idea would be a give away to a lucky member, any one of these would be great.. it's a group effort, so let us know what you think!

EDIT: I have a 4000+ Clawhammer just sitting here, It was used to get PR into on the ORB top 20 Hall of Fame, lets start with that!

For the pimp stuff - go purple and gold dude

I'd been thinking about doing a Pimp Rig (prior to the name change) garishly over the top - velvet, suede, fake diamonds - the works!

I have money that I can send, my hardware is kind of old. I would like to see this become a thank you to GK for what he has done and what the PR name came to stand for.

What type of case were you guys thinking about?
Just an standard case? I know I have not been here very long, but I donÃ‚â€™t think Ã‚â€˜standardÃ‚â€™ represents PR very wellÃ‚â€¦

If you know the old PimpRig and see where PCA is heading.... you will know that even a standard case will turn into something extraordinary...

Well, as much as i Love the case and i LOVE the color. i had some plans for it but if it wasnt for PR then i wouldnt have it. i am willing to donate a red UFO to the cause if we get some snazzy parts to put in it, starting with necros generous 4000+ offer.

if we go with the transition theme then this case is defenetly big enough. The canvas for this project is huge, either way we go.

hopefully we can get mnpctech in on this too.

Well maybe something a little more basic so we can do all the cutting and hacking on it ourselfs. Something a little more bland so we can add our "PimP" touch.

BTW maybe we could get a sticky here?
