Maybe an engraved tag with the names of all the contributors could be affixed to the case.
Kind of like a list of credits at the end of a movie.

There could be 1 tag with all contributors or different tags for ideas used, labor, parts and monetary contributions.

These tags could be incorporated in the design or placed in some inconspicuous place like on the side or back of the PSU or on the very bottom.

Hey guys have you considered an lcd mod? if not maybe Beachbum86's idea for the dasboard as an lcd mod OR do the dashboard as an overlay for a graphical lcd and prog. the lcd to do the analog type needles for the cpu,hd and other stats. also a wicked flame type mobo stealth machined by grumble (hint hint) might look cool.
If your going wc cooling, Right now I'm scouring around to find an ultra small refrig compressor. maybe a scaled down version of my chiller for the OC nitrous boost of cooling
If you don't wish to go that route I have access to 3/8" id stainless barb fittings and heavy duty clear soda tubing with crimp type clamps just tell me what fittings you would need and their yours, as well as the tubing. I'll post some pic's of the fittings alittle later, the stainless is shiney and the clamps make a clean look. I also have alum. diamondplate leftover from my toolbox mod. if your interested.

One thing that we have to do with this project is narrow down the choices. As I posted in the PRT thread, we are breaking into smaller specialty groups to focus a bit more on certain areas. All member suggestions are being considered by the team, but they will be making the final decisions and implementing them, so we just can't include everything. Just about everyone I've discussed the project with is looking for a very planned and clean integrated look, the graphics tieing in with the bezel, the watercooling elements framed by decorative trims, etc. While we can't accept every bit of hardware or suggestion offered...don't let that stop any of you from offering! Early on we thought about this issue and although Red02 left for a vacation shortly after this project was started, we do plan to have a special trading thread set up so anyone donating hardware that doesn't quite match the theme can have the proceeds of the sale go towards the project. The whole point of this project is to honor this community and the roots from whence it came...and that means you, the members, so please do feel free to contribute in any way that you can.

It seems that most of the suggestions have been focused on the tower. Chatting with Grumblestiltskin and Twizted last night, they both felt a full suite of keyboard, mouse, monitor...heck, maybe even speakers is in order for this project to truly shine. Any suggestions or donations for those mods are welcome!

I like this idea of a Pimprig-themed case, and I've read through almost all of the pages of this thread. I love the idea of purple metal-flake paint with gold trim (that gold-chrome look, not just gold paint). I prefer the idea of using an older monster-style tower to that UFO cube, I hate those cubes. I've seen some great ideas bandied about. I think having mnpctech_guy head up the project is the best idea, too.

I do have a few suggestions and ideas of my own.

-I know mnpctech's handles are sooo uber-popular around here, but can we please avoid them? I personally really don't like the profusion of rivets and screw-heads, I find it really detracts from a case's theme. You instantly see "handles" and are reminded that it's a computer case, and not a piece of art. Almost everything Bill does is pure art...but in my most respectful opinion, the handles are fugly.

-Here's an idea that might add to the complexity of the case, as well as emphasize the visibility of the internals and lighting, and also create some more space. How about incorporating bay windows in the side panels? Make them from 3 sections (each side panel) of acrylic and sheet metal on top and bottom (or hell, go with a 5-section design all with acrylic, for someone with a welder it shouldn't be too much problem)...this would make a section of the side panels stick out, perfect for letting people gawk at the cool hardware inside. It would make some added room for wire management and maybe it could even aid in the incorporation of ducting, too. Furthermore, it could be reminiscent of red-light-district peep-shows, you could put some glo-wire or some other lighting simulating neons that are so common in red-light districts everywhere. EVERYONE does windows. EVERYONE has done the complex dremeled windows. It's been done before, *yawn*. But bay windows are 3 dimensional and would really be a distinguishing feature.

It's a great idea and I doubt I have much to offer other than ideas, because I unfortunately don't have the tools or resources or finances to do much other than help with the ideas. I'd like to be part of the decisioning process, though.

I hear you on the handle idea Coel handles, exposed rivets etc aren't really "slick" as such.
I'm still unsure whether or not this case is going to even have handles at this stage (hasn't been decided on at this stage) - I'd personally like to have some there (for function) - but I'd like to see them stealthed - was thinking recessed handles with a spring-loaded plate incorporated into them and mounted so they sit flush with the case panel.... need to do some tinkering though

That's a crazy idea with the bay window thing though - bears thought

You could always do like streamlined handles, like instead of them coming out, having two holes on both sides and a channel connecting them....sounds confusing, but I think you know what I mean

I had thought of flush handles, The problem with them is that they encroach on the inside space a little too much for my liking - plus, I would quite like to do something that hasn't been done before (well, something that I haven't seen it done - Someone's bound to have done it )

Gizm, I get ya perhaps "channel handles with a fold-in spring loaded cover (to keep the case looking slick)

I guess a big part will be seeing what Beachbum and AntiM come up with for the top panel - there may be no space for them anyway!

ok, ok i know this may sound crazy but you guys want this o be uuuuuuuuuuuuuber cool yea??? then why oh why must you insist on handles?? Make the case move itself!

ok what youd do is get one of those big ass rc cars and strip it. take wheels nd motor out and stick em on the bottom of the pc. wire the motor to the psu (or keep i on battery). Then maybe change those wheels to some pimpin chromes for some uber pimpin (ok too much pimp my ride for me)
