It's late for me and I'm dog tired but lets takle a look at some past PR tributes?

Hell Red has one for his avatar!

How about Zenn's Maxium PC window..that never made the trip...

And my first PR tribute...my plexi PSU windows......OMG!!That was my first digi camera 1.0 mp.....dam!

This is gonna be a hard......I will miss PR!

An update from the donated FREEBIE pile.
My MinnesootaH moddin buddy, Jim Hanson (runs coolcases.com) got an ear full of this project and is willing to donate this Monster Server tower by Enermax. Its a solid basic design with a lot of empty space.
Note the steel drive bay door/window (it has ball bearing door catches!) that has enuf support to handle whatever we can toss at it

The window is even fuglier in person

ps. I'm still assembling the team offlist.

That case is frickin huge!!! We could fit an entire small phase change unit in the top. That case has my vote, just too much p-HOE-tential.

Some ideas have been percolatin' ever since this thread opened up...

As far as a case choice, I thought I'd throw in my $.02. Ranger's offer of the UFO case is a bit much, IMO, simply in terms of case value, before anything is done to it. If he'd like to send it to me anyways, I wouldn't slap it with a "RETURN TO SENDER" label...

The "pile of crap" transformation into a "BLING MACHINE" idea seems more fitting of the old PR ideals, IMO...

For the innards, perhaps it would be fitting to use components that have been reviewed here, and received the 9 Pimp Hats or higher rating (or ones whose review articles got the most attention here)

Since this rig needs to be somewhat extreme how about dual PSUs?

I second the idea of phase change. Especially if it is internal to the case.

i could pitch in on the ocz phase changer if we deside to go that rout, its only 3 bills and its a whole unit.

if you think about it, thats about as much as a pimp high end water cooling settup, its not that bad of an idea. then have a serate loop for the gfx with all donated parts as for that and maybe even the chipset.

That case is even more perfect than perfect, lots of space to work with and the front is unique. room for a huge inricate window.
