I love making these videos. This is the 2nd video that I've used my own music with GarageBand Early on I used some copyrighted tunes in my videos. I'm just happy I can break away from doing that now.

WOOHOO! Our friends at ULTRA have come through again for us! They are funding the buy of the main PC components for the gaming side of the rig!

$1250 is the budget and these are the parts I will be ordering:

That's gonna be a helluva difference over the Athlon 64 X2 3800+ and my x2 Nvidia 6800's (the weaker, 12 pipeline version)! I will probably have a hard time sleeping for the next week I am so excited!

Super Talent is going to outfit both systems with some sweet RAM... here is what is going where:

Gaming PC: x2 TX1000UX2G5 DDR2 (PC2-8000) Kits (4GB total)
Server PC: T667RB2G4 ECC DDR2 (PC2-5300) Kit (2GB total)


That should round one helluva gaming system and the server side should be great as well. For the server CPU I am using a n Intel 3.2 GHz Extreme Edition CPU that I have had in a HTPC case for a while. I will be putting a plain 2.4GHz in the HTPC instead. The hard drives on the server will be my recycled 120GB SATA drives in a RAID 1 array while the x3 SATA2 drives will be in RAID 5 on the gaming PC.

I have contacted Integrity-PC to see if they would be willing to send some of their Deep Purple FluidXP Extreme for use in the cooling systems. Keeping my fingers crossed! If they say no, I will probably use my good old home-made mixture.
