Default Aria Watercooling mod

My first serious mod up to date. The Aria is a great box but damn it runs hot...So I thought I may get better performance if I equip it with a Thermaltake watercolling kit. Some of my pictures for those who are interested.........

Sorry. Forgot to put those in.

Spec: AMD Athlon™ 64 3400+ 512K L2 Cache 1.6GTs S754 2400MHz
Epox EP8HMMIA Via K8M800 Chipset
Samsung 2X 512MB DDR-400 PC3200
XFX 6800 Ultra Screencard

The system is not complete yet, but I have set it up and CPU was running 34ºC on avarage. I have also added an extraction fan on the other side to asist in extracting heat. (will post updated pics soon)

Thanx for the interest.............:-)

I'm not quite up to date on the premade kits, but i know that it's not a Thermaltake Bigwater. You can tell because it lacks a lighted waterblock and (i think) has larger tubing.

The kit is from an Aquarius III system I bought a couple of years ago. This was an external unit that I stripped down to use the inards..............

I also had to change the fan on the radiator to an antec version to save on space. The drive bay rack also needed some cutting. I will post some more pics tonight. Hope it all helps. Will also show you in more detail what I did.

I'm looking at the pics, and i sure hope you don't plan on modding that thing anymore. It looks like you've got it packed to capacity .

Here are some of the promised pictures.

Showing the standard PSU that I pimped with an Antec 120mm Red LED fan.
Also showing the modified hdd rack.
And I have started work on the windowed panel. Not finished yet, but I just had to mount the 80mm extraction fan to see what it will look like

Anyways................that is all for now...

oh sorry zerOG, welcome to PR looks like youve gotten a head start around here

wow those are some nice specs for a small form factor pc (sff). great for LAN parties and what_not.
keep up the good work.

---EDIT----
there is prolly gunna be alot of light inside there right? if so an idea would be to put some limo tint on the windows so when the lights are off you cant see inside, but when they come on you can. Its a real kick'n effect.

Thanx man- tinting is a great idea! Did not think about it, but I guess getting a tint that will show off blue will work great - seeing that the theme inside will be blue lightning. Will be putting in two blue cold cathode's to add effect and some ultra bright blue spotlight LEDs.

Only thing is I don't know how to mount the plexi yet.......................any ideas - anyone?

Beachbum, do you have any idea where i could aquire some of this "limo tint"? It sounds like a cool idea, though i've never heard of it before or seen it performed.

Albedo, you should be able to get any of that limo tint at any auto parts store near you. I think you can even get it in the auto section at walmart.

This worklog - "Macro Black" used that stuff (including the crome tint stuff that I'm planning for my own case)
http://www.bit-tech.net/modding/2005...o_black/2.html I think you'll agree that it's pretty slick.
