Ok----so my friend gave me a case------kinda flimsy, thin, just looks kinda tacky. but it does have a history behind it. just had to been there i guess. So today when i was at Lowes shopping for flowers(i know------my girl was with me), I bought a holesaw----a big one. 114mm. what better thing to use it on then this case. figured id give this thing a new life.

now I can't even figure out who made it.

So i started taking it apart. Still flimsy as hell. Then i noticed that every joint had screws---not rivits. Hmm. And-----i repeat-----And-------it has a removable mobo tray-----i did not know this........SCORE!!!!!

something else i noticed----since it was screwed together at ever joint-----i tightened all the screws---it wasnt flimsy anymore!!!! nice......



anyways-----imma get to cutting this beast now------ill post more pics in a few..........

What are you gonna do with it besides cut a huge hole in it?

The removable tray is pretty sweet for a cheap case. Having screws instead of rivets is interesting. Should make disassembly for paint pretty easy, granted that you are going to paint the chassis.

well ive got some badass paint to use on it. kinda a real dark red. the inside is gonna be painted flat black. im going to put a "blowhole in the front also--thru the front panel......

ok--more goodies to show........heres the holesaw....

its the right size for a 120mm fan too......

ok now for the cool part. this is a light that goes into a ceiling tile. its exactly the right size in diameter to make a "blowhole" in the front of the computer!!!!!!! so you can see the intake fan from the front...like a duct or something...

it looks like a raidmax case... the type where your hard drive weighs more then the case...


are you going to put a fan on the top of the case?

ok--i cut the BIG HOLE!!!!!!!!!! its still really rough---so bear with me......still got alot of work to do!!!

It looks like a Speaker box with a Big Blow hole.......

You need to get some bondo and smooth the edges into the front bezel.

Good work so far man.

hawwww... I love that color...very original and different from most of hte blacks/blues/silvers that everyone is going with nowadays. I think if you were to window the side and add lighting i would add some white CCFLs for lighting but the kicker would be to wrap them in dark red translucent celophane (which is available at like maybe craft stores or supermarkets).
