Hey there all. It's been pretty much two years since I last started a project. This time I'm continuing where I left off after buying a green Chieftec case, but with a twist. I'm painting all of my peripherals in the exact same colour which I happened to find at Canadian Tire out of all places. It's a General Motor's Lime Green paint.
I'm currently in the process of painting my LCD monitor (gotta take it apart first), my cordless keyboard, my MX1000, my drive bay devices, and my Logitech THX speaker system. So far all I've got done is my keyboard handrest, DVD Burner, and Removeable HDD Tray, but not the caddy's. The caddy's will be painted last since they arn't even with me at the moment, but rather in storage.
I also plan on adding watercooling and a modular power supply to the list of modifications for this project. I also plan to add some chrome rounded IDE cables and green or blue SATA cables aswell. This is a small project for now since I need funds and time for University when it starts in about two weeks. This project shouldn't take me more than a couple days to do, but I hope you all enjoy the quality of the paintwork being put into this project. After all its a $400 Samsung 17" LCD at stake here. The DVD burner and keyboard look fantastic so far and absolutely match the computer as you can see in the enclosed pictures.

Unfortunatly the weather has got me nagged for the next few days. It's rainy and 14 degrees Celcius outside right now. Tuesday thru Thursday looks pretty grim aswell with highs in the high teens, but nothing in the 20's which is what I need. The paint can only be used between 20-33 degrees Celcius and in low humidity, and of course not in the rain, so I guess I'm pooched for the next few days. I could paint in my garage on newspaper but I think I'll take the day off to look at water cooling accessories and kits at my local computer store.

Maybe a window applique of the green giant? LOL. That'd be pretty funny. . . Look's like the rain isn't letting up. I also got the idea to paint my Sony Ericcson Z600 cellphone faceplates the same colour so I could have the matching set. HEHE. What do you guys think about that? I only got the idea since the faceplate is grey and it used to be blue, but all the paint has rubbed off over the past year since it was just dyed plastic.

EDIT: Nevermind I can see it now. Can you post the image of just the green giant with no boarder so I can get an applique made of it? I think that'd look perfect. BTW Where could I get one made?

Is there a better quality picture of that same picture? I want better quality and I did a search on the net briefly and couldn't find a better quality picture. Maybe I'll do the long road way and take a better quality initial picture and work on it in adobe photochop.

done deal. Thanks man. Got a high quality version and I'm almost done photochopping it. Time for bed though. I got work at 5am. Tommorow I will continue with my project in my garage because the weather is gonna be crappy til Saturday now apparently.

I was so bored waiting upon work to come so i did some work. Here's an update. So far I think she looks great. I'm waiting to do the more important parts of my computer til it warms up because I'm afraid something WILL eventually go wrong when i paint in the cold garage. So far so good. Here's my new pimpin' cellphone covers, keyboard top panel, and my removeable HDD bay.

Thanks man. I think I may have to get some primer to do the bottom of my keyboard since its all discoloured black, so I might be out for a few hours til I go and buy some. What colour primer should I get if I'm painting green?
