Now that I have shoebox up and running I am going to tear down my server and mod it. Now I know I have project rover going but I already have all of the parts for this so I might as well start. Lets start with the case.
The raidmax cobra. I am going to paint the yellow grill including the yellow around the "snake eyes"

I am going to paint the inside black and then "spash it" with red paint to give it that bloody look. I plan on etching the pill that is on Kanada's red jacket. Im going to paint "akira" on the top and on the right side panel I am going to paint the japanese symbol that is on the cover of akira. I have a few red cold cathodes and 80mm clear fans that I can paint to give them a bloody look. Well Im gonna get started on this bright and early. Hopefully I can get some help with the paint but other than that I think I have everything set.

Since jess did the trigun case I hope Im not stuck in the shadow of it...

It sounds like it will be a pretty cool mod you are going to do post_break can't wait to see your finish project. Keep up the great work

Although I'm not all that familiar with Akira, the mod sounds like a sweet idea and should turn out great!

Sounds like a good .plan! I am a big fan of anime, and Akira is ( IMHO ) one of the good ones, I look forward to seeing this!

Thrasher if you have any red or black wire sleeving kits in the mod garage then I would be willing to take them off your hands for a price. Im really excited about this mod, I think the red "blood" on the inside of the case will give it that akira look. If you havent seen akira then you dont really know what I mean but to sum it up there is a lot of blood shed. There is a part where a guy is shot at by more than a dozen police officers with automatic rifles, his body just disapates as the bullets rip through him.

I am also thinking about doing either a painting or an etch of the children of akira. I plan on taking a korn cover and using it as a guide because I cant find a good picture of the children but this will do.

This case Idea makes me think of this (because of the style)

That would be amazing! Heh man great idea. Still no word on the package. Everything will be taken apart and painted tomorrow morning. PM me with details about the black wire sleeve and red molex connectors. I didnt think this case had the potential to be modded but I guess it is in new light so to speak.

edit:I have an idea! Get some red paint on my hand and smire it on the door like someone tried to open it with bloody hands... feedback peoples feedback!

I remeber doing this project for english class...I got red spray paint and mad it overspray so it looks like blood or something dripping...

Because I got one to show my specs but the other one is from the Thrasher so I wanna keep it. You have 2 sigs..kindof .

Breakdown is underway. I would cut out the 80mm fan shrouds but I dont have a filter so Im just going to leave it. Once the inside is painted black and dried Im going to put on some gloves and just spray red into my hand untill it puddles up, then Im just going to throw it into the case to simulate blood splatter, it should be interesting.

Ok so I broke out the dremel and got rid of the stupd rack I dont use. It was the first time I ever cut a case with a dremel so the first cut kinda sucks but the other one is very straight. I then painted the inside black as well as the psu. Then I got ATTACKED by a catapillar or however you spell it. I mean this guy was all over me and he looked scary as hell. Here are some pictures of the work.

IDK if youd want to make the effort, but it would be sweet to kitbash like one of the corners of the case like tetsuo at the end. Actually now that i think about it, it wouldnt be that hard, just some super sculpty with a buncha wires and crap jamed in it.

i havent seen akira, so i dont know what you are talking about, but it is definatly on my list of next anime.

and by the way, that catapiller looks like the deadly fuman-achu yellow catipliier. you didnt touch it did you? if you di then you have a bout a week before the paralizing nureo toxin starts affecting you brain. AHHHHHH!!

Ok it is painted and I splattered some "blood" inside. The bezel has been painted but no pictures yet.

Sorrry I checked the Mod Garage and I didn't find any Red or black sleeving or red Modex conn.
I must be slacking...I need to restock the Garage.

Its cool. What do I owe you for that amazing box of goodies? Im going to put some more time into it when I get off of work. Let me know what you guys think so far.
