| My brother needed some money before he moved to canada to be with his fiance. so in a mercy killing I purchesed BACK the very computer I mod'd and sold to him 5 months ago. This left me with a very good looking case with a VERY mild computer inside (Fic au13 chameleon pro, 2200+, 40gig, geforce mx440, cheap powersupply, samsung burner) For anyone who knows me or has seem my computers (Ie 2.67 air cooled athlon xp-m @ 480mhz fsb) which I sold 5 months ago these specs are ridiculously underpowered. I sold all the inner components to my brother for his computer mod im working on and put in my extra Nf7-s and baught another mobile chip to go on it (still not as good as my old DFI infinity). Ive also installed a radeon 9800 flashed to a radeon xt, 1 gig of Ocz GOLD 4000 ddr and an Ocz DDR booster to run the memory at 3.4-3.5v what they are rated at. On the chip Im running a thermaltake Pipe101 heatsink and 92mm tornado fan. the rest of the fans are the same I installed on the original mod. For a PSU Ive installed an ULTRA x-connect modular 500 watt power supply (absolutly fantastic looking OoOO chrome) Ive installed abits serial Ata adapter on the hard drive for a slight bit of speed and a much cleaner look. Ive also installed 4 ultra violet ccfls (2 12 inch on the bottom and middle brace, 2 4 inch on top of psu and one in bay in front of psu) wireless network card, and a BTC burner/dvdrom combo drive The cpu runs a constant 2.4ghz @ 460mhz synchronous with the memory at 11-2-2-2 timings. Yet to install: full set of high cfm (82cfm thermaltakes) case fans upgraded radeon heatsink WD raptors in raid LED panel Pics: BEFORE AFTER | ||

| Im putting my computer on a temperature diet trying to get to the top of the benchmark contest and in order to do that I have to upgrade the fans. I ordered 4 (three badass 3 fin silverstone fans which will come later and one gigantic 120x38mm dual ball bearing fan which came today) and one came today. The original fan placement for the front of the case was a single 80mm fan which just wasnt big enough for what I was doing so I modded in a single 120mm 115 cfm fan. Here are the pics, I will include pics of the other fans (you guys are gonna love these lil beauties). | ||
