| I don't know if that title will stay with this project but it fits for now. Twizted has his 64 bit Aria up for this years lan party and it had no mods!! So the past week I have made some progress with this case. The top is a big scoop to bring in fresh air. On the bottom I made a custom solid surface base to look like a lower front valence. What would a ricer be with out fancy graphics...er windows. Last edited by Lokie; 30-July-05 at 02:59 PM.. | ||

Haha, yeah...I knew that, but I was just labelling it as Shuttle for the form factor. Just a little generic 'slang' I guess you could call it that I've picked up.

This was actually in the works before Bill posted.. Timing heheI am hoping to be able to get my hands dirty soon enough.. I just dont have quite the skill level as my bro does when cutting and I didnt want to have to buy new panels lol... but I will be taking care of all the wiring and electronics and possibly more on the actual modding when I get a chance.. But I said it once... And twice.. well.. prolly more than I can count, Lokie is the MAN with it comes to windows or anything for that matter.. Big Pimpin' More updates to come soon...

It must be nice to be good at cutting windows. I'm ashamed to say this, and I realize it's not the place, but yesterday I was tinkering with cutting my first window! I have this Celeron eMachines I'm going to fix up (case wise), and I figured that would be a good place to start. I ran out of cutting wheels and started with the jig-saw, and it kept binding up and everything. It's not quite as easy as it looks. I give modders like Lokie a lot of credit! I guess that's the only way you learn the tricks of the trade, right? Getting in there and getting your hands dirty. This is how I viewed my experience yesterday. You're going to have a sweet rig, bro! Best of luck with it! by the way; I had no idea you and Lokie were brothers. But, I've only became a true regular here over the last few months, so I must've missed that somewhere down the line. ![]()

| Lokie This is an idea you could have tons of fun with. Especially with your creativity! **me jealous** One thing that no ricer would be completely without, a huge muffler! Maybe you could make one of the fans in the back have a muffler coming from it. Like the one attached. Yours Truly, SheGeek ![]() | ||

BWAHAHAHAHA thats awesome! You should do all sorts of crazy mods to it, then put a 200mhz processor in it as a tribute to all the ricers, all show no go! Definately gotta put some kind of body kit on it, and use those wheels!

| The door cut was very time consuming and i will take more pics with the second one. I wasn't sure if I could do the the removal of the plastic liner on the door with the flame detail....but patience and steady hands came through with flying colors. . Twisted did redo the 80 mm fans with 8 white leds each. | ||

| I have had alot of questions about cutting the aria doors. How, with what, bla bla bla... Here is the best way I can show all of you, Lokie style: The design is drawn on the outside with a pencil, any fine marker will do. The hole drilled is for the scroll saw blade to feed through. The blue masking tape is for the outline of the rough window. The panel is sandwiched with aluminum, abs plastic, and aluminum. I rough cut out the inside aluminum too aide in the cutting proccess. I cut the aluminum just enough to seperate the inner sheet. Then peal back the aluminum. Now I can start the cut out with a scroll saw. | ||
