| Supe-Hoe-Charged | I'm doing a mod for my GF to have. I think she's getting jealous of everyone else with their cool looking cases and all. So far I've cut a side panel window, and two 80mm fan holes. I also cut into the plastic of the front bezel, for a blowhole effect. I had it sitting like that for a while in my room.. but we just got some paint, sandpaper, and a sanding block from walmart yesterday.. so we are gonna finish painting it, and put some plexi in the side(with maybe an etching). Today I sanded the side panel, and top panel, and added some primer. I used 100grit sandpaper to get rid of the old beige paint, and then used some Krylon primer on it. I plan on maybe using 220 on it tomorrow, then another coat of primer for an even smoother effect. One thing I noticed.. is how dark this primer is.. does that mean we can't use a light color now? She kind of wants a pink paint job . Any color/brand reccomendations for a nice looking pink? Well here is some pics of what has happened so far.. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated, just remember that I'm on a budget.

| Supe-Hoe-Charged | Update: Just hit the primed panels with some 220grit.. and sprayed a second coat of primer.. I believe that's all I need on it now. I just went and got some Metalflake blue Duplicolor paint. It should look sweet. ![]() After the second coat of primer dries I will sand it smooth with 320grit, or 400, and spray the Duplicolor on. I am glad I didn't stick with pink. But my GF is a bit disappointed.. The next case I do will have to be pink now lol.. Anyways as soon as the primer dries, and I spray the color on, I will post pics.

| Apex Advanced Techie | Consider yourself lucky turbopsi. My Girlfriend once made me wear a pink fuzzy hat. She did the whole guilt trip thing until I put it on....

| a.k.a., Frank Bullitt | Looks sweet.............as far as what grit to use, that would depend on how smooth it is..........the smoother - the finer the grit.....if it's got a lil texture to it 400 would be a good start........just fill a spray bottle with soapy water and keep it wet while sanding........

| Sir Knight of Spamalot | OH sure..you get your paint job right the first time..I keep messing up someone..Dam weather... Its called metal Cast btw.. Do you like how it looks now? If not sand it withj 400 and then clear coat, if you want it a bit darker, lightly 400 it, then put another color coat on
