Right now Im in the idea phase of my current project..

My idea is to make a theme based project out of the Silverstone TJ06 case My previous Ideas can be found here

But i decided that this thread should properly be placed in the project worklogs.. also I had a hard time getting ideas out of people. lol so yeah My current idea Is maybe make a Castle theme case.. with towers at the top of the case acting as a chiminy fan with some modders mesh.. then have the old huge castle door in the front of my case for the bottom 120mm fan.. and make a base that could be made out of plaster.. to make a landscape like a hill.. then air brush a cool brick style or something..anyways ill create a concept drawing of it when i get the time.. sorry for the repost any ideas would be greatly appreciated.. thank you

Hmm... maybe you could build a base for it and surround it with a "Mote" and use it to watercool the rig

Add a few miniature "Barbarians" and "Knights" using catapults and your stylin

Or is that a bit much?

Dude that moat idea is pimpin, but youd also have to consider contamination of the water so youd have to make some kind of huge ass plexi reservoir to go around your case.....hell you might not even need a radiator after that.

just make a box out of plexi and put some blue yv dye in there... sand the etches and make it look like its supposed to be there put some more plexi (maybe green uv reactive) around the res so it doesnt look wierd sitting there by itself and get some uv cathodes and maybe a yellow one for the "sun" lol just an idea that came to my head

Actually we have been tossing ideas back and forth and Dave asked me for Ideas for a fan shroud and going with his battle theme. I sugested maybe a stone flute for a shroud....and his whole theme is back on the drawing board....

Ideas are allways welcome....you never know where they might lead!

I have to say this idea is one of the coolest I've heard. How about the return line back to the mote being a waterfall type structure. Just seal the rocks in shellac or something like KonForm

If you have like a hobby shop or train shop etc in your town, they sell construction materials from a company called plastruct that makes brick, cobblestone etc textured sheets of plastic that might work for your mod.

Yeah and they are all light weight materials too.

I had my old case which was a huge dust bucket...with one fan i might add... lol but yeah i got a free case from raptor (thanks).. The case is a Raidmax 868. Its black..

I did a quick concept drawing of the basic idea.. I would add more things to it like a cross's as windows.. that have an Led behind them... the door on the bottom front would be a motorized or hand drawn draw bridge.. the middle tower at the top of the case would be a chiminey fan and some other touches...
so yeah here is the quick concept drawing i just made:

yeah the bottom baseplate with the moat would be a hill shaped baseplate with the moat...
so yeah tell me what you think about the idea

Loose the thing in the window it just looks outa place. What about a catapult on top?

yeah that fan grill does look out of place..I could maybe make a custom wood grill or something like that.. and I could probably put archers or something on the top turrets.. but I think a catapult might be to big to be on a castle turret.. I could probably attach one on the base as a little touch...

Inside I would do that stone paint like Coal has on the outside of his Gargoyl case.

Hey for a window idea, you should make it look like a wall on the castle has been smashed open, with crumbled bricks everywhere and perhaps miniature soldiers pouring in!

I like the concept drawin but i dont think it looks right with that tiny door ar the bottom, might be better if it was a little bigger.

You should make the case like a castle gatehouse. Put a portcullis in place of the window, and a small wooden door where you have the drawbridge. You could also put a drawbridge in front of the window/portcullis thing. If you don't know, a portcullis is that iron bar gate that slides up and down. You could make arrow slits for the power supply to vent through or for indicator lights. Route rear cables out bottom of the back.

Like on the side of the case? the portcullis would be the whole size of the side of the case? I like the idea of incorperating a portcullis but I think it would better fit the front of the case.. I want this case to be a castle not a gate.. if thats what you meant..
