| Welcome to Pimprig! Alot of people have that case, including me. The case comes with a presleeved PSU so you would have to remove the stock sleeving before you put some UV sleeves on it. You will need a Micro Atx motherboard to go in there. Newegg has Matx boards in all flavors. If you want you can see what I did with my Qpack here. | ||

| Possible, yes... Easier to install all the hardware and then do a reformat and clean install of XP? MUCH...(IMO) XP has that nasty little thing about hardware changes. There is a registry hack that I've heard/read about that would let you work around this, though... Essentially, just before you power the computer down, you make a change to the registry, and instead of rebooting, you power completely down, remove the hard drive, then install it on the new machine. When you power up the new machine, it will *supposedly* identify all the new hardware, and you go about installing all the new hardware from there. I haven't done this myself, so you'd probably do well to Google it, or just go for the clean install from the get-go... | ||

Assuming you don't have any data you'd like to keep (pictures, music, whatever), or that you have that on a separate partition, yes. Just put the HDD in your new computer, set the BIOS to boot from the CD first, put in the XP CD and boot 'er up! XP will give you the option to format the partition you're going to install on (I recommend using NTFS), and if you HAVEN'T already partitioned your drive, XP will do that, too. That will result in mega benefits, the main one (IMO) being that you can install all of your programs on say a 40 GB partition, and leave the rest of your HDD for data storage. That means that next time you need to format and reload your OS, you'll only format C:, and not lose your data.

The CPU don't use glue..It have little pins that on into the Cpu slot on the MB then you use a heatsink past and lock the heatsink on to of the cpu(this depends on what CPU/Heatsink you have)... Hope that helps ya out some..

Ok man, since you just found out where to get the stuff, I'm assuming you don't actually HAVE it yet. Keep in mind that sometime the fun in building a computer is the adventure. We're all here to help you, no sweat, but rest assured that nearly everything comes with it's own basic instructions. Here's what you get when you read the ones that accompany Artic Silver. http://www.arcticsilver.com/instructions.htm This is kinda' like Brylcreem (am I dating myself, or just my dad?) - A ilttle dab will do ya'. And don't brush your teeth with it.

| Since it seems like the first time you're going to be doing a sleeving job, I would recommend buying a sleeving kit in the color of your preference. The Vantec kit I bought already comes with the heatshrink tubing included, pretty decent little kit... (I just had the xoxide link bookmarked, you can save even more money by shopping around) If you prefer to buy the sleeving in specific amounts of a certain size/length, I'd go for something like 5ft of 1/4" for the majority of the PSU cables, and about 3ft of 1/2" for the 20/24-pin connector cable. That should give you enough overage to cover yourself in case of a minor mistake or two. Or you can buy more than those lengths, if you want to make good and sure you have enough (or want to save some for a future mod). When you are ready to get started, there are somel VERY GOOD sleeving How-To's here on PR, make sure to check them out, since they can save you a lot of time and hassle with the tricky parts.
