This is my current project (AKA Project Rust Bucket) Inspired by the Fallout series of games. Its still under major development, but ill post whats up so far.











Quick explanation on what you see on the front panel. The Oxygen Flow indicator Dial, is modded with a bright red LED to be used as the HDD Idicator...... The Large Tachometer below it will be set up as a CPU usage idicator as soon as a get a chance(work in progress) and the Oxygen Flow meter next to the HDD idicator id like to set up as a Flow meter for the water cooling Still work on that, gotta split to work now, ill answer any questions as well as Try to give sommore explanation.

Rember this is a work in progress LOL........ Ill throw in a list of things im gonna add in later.

looks nice me like, though i would suggest gettng sum molding around those meters, cause u did a ****ty job cutting holes :-D

how do you turn a Tachometer into a CPU usage meter? Can you take a stock Tach from a car-parts store and just whip it into a CPU mater? Thats sweet!

Also, I cant remember the website I saw it on but I do believe they had how to make one from scratch...

Oh man looks like my old 69 buick skylark half rust/half bondo, with red primer on the bondo spots.LOL oh man what a piece of garbage she was, but she ran for a good year and a half berfore she wouldn't pass emissions.

If I _really_ had to find fault, I'd say it could do with some more dents, and the fans are too clean - as is the inside. Couldn't you add a few empty beer cans, used prophylatics & candy wrappers to make it look more like a landfill? Maybe crack the glass in a couple of the dials too? ;-)

LOL...thanks for all the feedback guys, as i said its a work in progress.......

Once i practice up on my airbrushing skills i plan on adding a few more effects. And i agree clown those holes are a bit ragged. What I actully did is redid the entire 3 1/2" Drive area with fiberglass Fiberglass and some epoxy resin. Then made new holes for the dials. I dont think molding will look right though, im gonna take out the dials and redo them a little

JON- Ya i definly wanna add a frew more dents.

WIXX- the top row is a normal baybus. the second group of switches comes off a radar test panel. The large switch on the left is a Momentary switch that i am using as the power switch, and 2 of them control the lights, am coming up with uses for the rest ^_^

THINGS THAT STILL NEED TO BE DONE:

1. Probably add thin molding around the windows.
2. picked up some Aluminum fans, (will dirty them up as requested)
3. Redo the Dial Area.
4. Add in 2 low profile 80MM fans to the back outake)
5. Need to add a door catch so the suicide door stays closed. :rollleyes: LOL
6. Get Tach working properly
7. More and more rust effects w00t!
8. Add in a 24X2 Red backlite LCD i picked up from ALL Electronics.

And more and more and more i can come up with before i add it to the gallary
