| The vinyl dye is virtually newb proof erok! Just wash everything with a green scrubby and dish soap, rinse, and leave to dry. Then hit quickly with a tack cloth to remove any dust or debris, then proceed with multiple thin coats. You only need to wait 5-10 mins between coats! And if black is what you want, its is cheap and readily available $5.99 CDN a can at Canadian Tire. The yellow was a custom color that I had to get mixed $35.00 CDN a pint plus a $10 CDN spray canister duhmah hickey. | ||

| Thanx everyone! @ Cyphre - the black is an off the shelf pre mixed spray can. The yellow is a custom color that I had to get mixed at the paint supply shop (I couldn't find yellow in an off the shelf can). @ Flounder - the yellow dye came from an auto paint supply place. | ||

| Erok : No real tricks to taking apart the monitor. I was scared sheitless. Place it screen down on a blanket, undo the screws and lift off the back (mine had 2 screws and 2 little clips). Once the back is off you will have to survey the situation. I hear tell of some danger within, so I touched only the metal mounting brackets around the screen (one in each corner). I then lifted the CRT and pcb board out and layed them screen down on the blanket. Assembly was the reverse of that sequence. I required a second set of hands (wife ) for both the dissassemble and the reassemble. All that said....I was really freakin happy when I fired it up and it worked! | ||

| ClowN - you assume too much! We are talking about a completely legal copy of win xp! Edit - and the more I think about it, I am a little pissed at the inference........... Edit (again) - Do you really think, if I were looking for illegal copies of windows (which I am not! ), I would need erok (who lives in a different country ) to find them for me? Rant over!
