Thumbs up Redone wiring

I already had this comp posted in the gallery but I just got done redoing my wiring with sleeving from here http://www.wirecare.com/wc_splashpage.asp
I think the results are good. It takes a bit more work than split loom but I think the results are well worth the effort. You do have to take the connectors apart to fit the sleeving onto the wires. Now I have to think about paint.

Hey man, it looks really good. You might also want to consider the right angled molex connectors in the future. About how long did it take you to do that ?

Took me about 2 or 3 hours. Did it a little bit at a time and didn't keep track of the time.

Looks great.
In my next case upgrade I'm planning on wire sleeving all the power connectors (though I don't like the idea of having to remove the connectors, but it shouldn't be TOO hard, is it?).

No, it's not hard. You do have to mark one of the ground wires to keep from mixing them up. I found a tool at Radio Hack to remove the female connectors. It looks like a syringe. Could not find it in the online catolgue and I threw away the package or I would give you the part #.

Dear Hojo,

Looks real good. My stuff currently looks like a rat's nest.
I'm real new at this. What do you mean, "take the connectors apart?"

looks good, but the whole point of the thing is to HIDE the wires........

try sticking all of those between drives and stuff, or try to jam em on the other site of the drive holder

shakes, check out the post dates in the top left. The last post here was Nov 2002. I would call that a dead thread.

And what is with the UFO pictures in your sig?
