Default Im starting a new project. I need some help.

I'm building a computer for my girlfriend and I need some help. I am wanting to build her case out of plexiglass or a similar material. Now, the "cage" is at the powdercoaters getting a nice pink powder coat job.

Will the plexiglass work, or will it cause to much static. The plexiglass will be tinted so when she turns on the lights you will be able to see through it.

I should get the cage back tommorow or later this week. I will post pics of it when it gets here.

Thanks for the help

What do you mean by "the cage"?

Lots of plexi cases. No static problems.

I don't get the question ..... are you asking about powder coating plexi?

i refer to the cage as the hard drive bays, mobo plate, and all that great stuff. I was just wondering if plexi is ok to make the case out of (to go around the "cage") I dont want to cause to much static

powder coating = $0

the guy was in need of some computer repair for his home and office. So we traded my skills for his.

Nice powdercoating job, and its pink for sure...lol...I'm sure she'll love it.

btw...Blade, you should keep your posted pics to around 600px width to eliminate the need to side-scroll the page for some people. Welcome to PR

Wow...that certainly is...pink!

Where did you get it powdercoated? Would the guy who did it be interested in doing it for others?

I got it down at a local store in Rockvale, TN (small town). Yeah he will do it for others. And as you can see he does a good job. The coating is real thick.

Next step is to find a motherboard to fit this thing. Any ideas ??!?!?!?!???. I got to get the dimensions for the case and find some tinted plexi glass.
