| this is my brand new hp pavilion, just got it home and decided that it was time to start modding computers, and i thought this would be a fine canidate. i have installed a custom side window (not a kit) and will be adding some blue led's,cathodes, and round cables as i am able to afford them. as far as specs go, it has an AMD athlon xp 3200+, 512 mb of RAM, and a 160gb HD. It has a combination cd-rw / dvd-rom, and i hope to get a dvd burner to fill up the second bay soon. i also plan on upgrading to an nvidia 6800 video card (it is currently using a pitiful little 64 mb integrated one) Please tell me what you think, and any suggestions would be appreciated! | ||

I think a "Bravo" is in order for having the balls to void your warranty on a brand new PC ![]() I also think that you'll need to upgrade the power supply if you're going to be adding all that stuff to it...typically OEM power supplies supply *just enough* power to run what comes with your PC, and no more. Definitely won't be able to handle a plethora of lights, whizzbangs and a 6800Ultra ![]() | |||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Just get an Antec True 480 Watt or 430. Both will provide more than enough. The Trueblue model's are pretty slick too. Also, Thermaltake has these cheap butterfly 430 and 480 wat TRUE PS that got a lot of bling bling. They even got wrapped cables, multi color though... Or you could go and get a PC POWER and COOLING 650 watt monster, just like me. Now, let me find all those links... | ||

| update...just bought a new 480 watt psu that can be seen at http://www.3btech.net/deblch580waa1.html, on ebay, sadly the description said it would be one of these http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...439&CatId=1078 in a 480 watt model, don't ya just love knockoffs!!! i also bought some 12 inch UV cathodes, and i have painted it. it is a new glossy blue and will soon be going over the silver with black. i will be posting pics as soon as i get my digi-cam working! | Nice mod there, I have started modding my Dell Optiplex GX200 as of late, needs a window kit, got green LED fans and a green CCFL already, Radeon 7000 PCI and 256mb RAMBUs. For now it has a PIII 866 but when I get my Tualatin adapter I will be bustin' a P3 1.4 Tually. Would use an FX5200PCI but it won't work properly half the time. | ||

| wow, i havnt updated this in forever, the latest experiment is new paint. I have painted the chassis flourescent green so that it will glow under the UV cathodes, it looks pretty good. Only problem is is that the Cathode inverter burnt out, so no UV lights at the moment. I am painting the case itself flourescent green with flourescent blue flames (there are several blacklights in my room). I basically have a 1/3 finnished project right now, as snow storms hit and I am unable to finish the paintjob. I am planning on posting pics as soon as the paintjob is done. | ||
