here is more detail of the sword.
it will have blue Led's in the eyes, and a "quick disconnect" for when it is inserted into the hole in the top.. the eyes will light up.(hope i explained that so you can understand.

last pic os of the dragon i cut out on the side.. it was done with a plasma cutter, and my own art design. camera doesnt give the light justice.. At night it kinda creates a blue dragon on the wall in the room.

oooh, forgot to take a pic of the inside.. will have that up in a few minutes..

mods to come: front blue LED fan, dragon etching on the front blue plastic peice.

Completly love the sword idea Slug, i would also say you need a pool of fake blood around the sword slot(some red dyed epoxy should work)

On the inside i would abandont the split loom tubing( or get thinner stuff)(maybe try some expandable mesh, more flexible) and you could hide the wires a little, but other than that it looks like its comming allong nicley!!!

It looks great man. I have an idea but i'm not sure it will work. Seeing your going to have some sort of power source to the sword.. insted of having a baybus of some sort. Use the sword as a switch for your cathode also. That would make it really nice.

well, the cathode is coming out.... no more of that crap for me.. LED array is going in.. light that dragon a bit better.

pool of blood eh?? hmm, ill think about it maybe come up with something..

D00d, that looks tizzite, 1 lil thing that fan wire , stick it under the m0b0 , but that really an original idea really is somthing else.

It is not that we don't like blue split loom.....we do!

The problem is that it looks as though you took all the wires and chucked splitloom on them and figured that made for neat wiring.

It is an improvement, but the wiring still could use a ton of work.

Love the idea of a fanbus and light switch up on the sword handle! The chain mail idea is worth consideration as well.

EDIT:

I did a mini wiring guide that might give you some ideas.

If you're going to stick with the blue loom, get some blue electrical tape, I'm not sure if it will match perfectly but it should look a little nicer.

I would lose the electical tape altogether. It just looks sloppy.
