| Well, here's my Lian-Li mod in progress, just got done cutting some holes yesterday... So far I've-hand polished every internal surface I can get my hands on, as well as the PSU mount and the back of the motherboard tray, wiring harness hole, 2x120 blowholes, added a custom window (props to Digi on the last two, you is tha r0x0r), and I had a painted mobo to go with my painted video card, which would have made the entire case and its contents silver. thtere's a mirror polished HDD (dunno if you can see it) and I'm now replacing all the fans with white LED ones, as money lets me. It's not my flashiest ever, it's the one I'll be uing everyday. So, I wanted exactly what I wanted, freak the rest. I'll let you guys tell me if you like it so far, then I'll tell you what's planned... | ||

| I dig the window and the fan layout on the side also--and moulding is a life saver and I think it looks great--it accomplishes many things: It covers rough edges, or any small slip ups (if you use a dremel, then I'm sure you've slipped once or twice), It provides a rubber cusion for what its attached to thus reducing noise a bit, AND it makes it obvious that it isn't a premod--not to mention it looks good ![]() | ||

| hell, my window is being held on by approximately 5.5 feet of super adhesive mounting tape, and i have chrome trim, and its air tight, and i can also guarantee you that it will hold stronger than rivets or superglue or whatever exotic manner of mounting there is... | ||

Basically any type of lead-free paint, but most paints are lead free anyways since the 60's. Just as long as the paint doesnt carry any conductance than it is fine. As far as a heat problem, i think the only way that it would be a major concern would be if he painted over the chipset, which i highly doubt he did. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||

| People coat motherboards in lots more interesting things for phase change cooling... Konform plastic, dielectric grease... I did my homework, including calls to the people who manufactured the stuff. It's completely nonconductive. Right now, I'm debating about what will live in here... I already miss my 3000+. Temps, however, are bitchinly awesome! Just wait till I get my BIX and Maze4 I just got in there... | ||

| Some progress on something everyone probably forgot about... Working on my first multilayered window, this one is about 60% done. It still needs another column of script, and cleaning up. All of this is done by hand, in reverse. And yes, EVERYTHING written in Latin translates. As I finish, it'll become more evident what I'm doing. | ||
