So we remember our new freind thezero is getting a new spray job as well (Damn you Insomniac, for stealing my thunder), and I wanted to throw up some in progress shots of the paint job, as we get ready to rip into the case and completely redo his case.

We've picked a metallic pewter tone, with MetalCast gold highlights/tribals and Mirage shadows/highlights. These first shots will give you a bit of idea as to where it's heading, and I'll be updating (with thezero) as often as we get together to work on this.

We're also redoing his Koolance, tidying his wires and pimping his PSU. On the performance side of things, we're throwing his unlocked 2600 into an Infinity and clocking her blind. Follow along (if you even care) and throw some constructive criticism his way-we're all here to teach others, remember?

Someone, Duplex, obviously has never shopped for insane wide leg pants. I had some a year ago that were around 60 inches, but they shrunk! You should check out Hot Topic some time Duplex.

i want to know why there are pics of your case and not of you all dressed up on another thread as promised anyway i always like what folks are doing to their caases,its one of the many bases of PR.looks cool but is it really that dark of a color?

Hey now, each to his own. I don't shop there anymore, much to expensive for my taste. And extremely wide pant legs fray and look bad after a while.

Well hmm, I just found out he has a camera. I'll have to make myself look decent now...

But I can get a pic of the awesome stuff stuck through my ears...

ok so my new case is starting to come along and that's all well and good. However take a gander at what I have to deal with till it gets finished. It is indeed a sad state of affairs.

Is that Duplicolor Gray and are you going to paint the inside of the chassis with that Metalcast Gold? If so, I just did that on the same cas six months ago. Painted the feet and front grill area of the bezel yellow. I should take some pics and get it posted. Painted my monitors to match as well.

justa couple of things that will help you...
Get the gear up off the garage floor, to start with.
Clear a bench, or build a bench, or rid that card table of the superfulous stuff...
cover it with paper or whatever.
You have an ATI vid card on a break dancing surface almost to the edge.
Hell I see saw horses back there even.
The silicon spirits are gonna be laughing loudly as soon as your kilt hooks up with that card and sends it frisbeeing under that car in the driveway along with those CCFL's.
In all seriousness, get the gear up and protect it, really.

Great start Kayin, can't wait to see it finished. BA's case stole no thunder..... those pants did, sorry couldn't resist. But at my age the guys would kick my a$$ in those, took them long enough to get used to my D ickies.

I dont wear a grounding strap but I do have a forearm on the case at all times.
I tore the carpet off the floor where I work on my gear at...
It was kind of a hassle, but She buys most the stuff I was protecting...
