| Well, seeing as my first mod project I ever did was a good theme but not so good execution, I decided to make a version 2.0 now that I actually have a Dremel and can make nice clean cuts instead of using a jigsaw which is totally inferior to the Dremel. Much like the piston engine is totally inferior to the jet turbine Anyway........ Now that I have a little experience in modding I would like to re-visit this concept. I am slowly getting hardware for this mod, and since the last mod was old skool, so will this one. But not too old skool when you think about it... ASUS P4T Socket 423 P4 1.4 Monterrey 512MB Rambus Haven't decided on VGA yet but it will be a high-end CAD card of some sort. SB Live! 5.1 Digital Intel 100Mbps LAN 20 gig Fujitsu 52x CD-ROM 16x DVD-ROM Yeah, okay, so 423 is old skool The theme will be pretty much the same as the original, green and white. Better paint, cleaner cuts, still debating on a door like the original had. The original was supposed to have LED's drilled into place at the ends of the painted circuit leads, but they were never implemented. This one will have them. Still haven't decided on a case yet, right now I'm trying to get the hardware up and running in XP Pro by the end of the week for the 22nd, there will be a LAN party on the 22nd and I wan't to try to get the internals up and running before the LAN. I also have an I/O shield from eBay, should be here next week as well. Should have some pix tomorrow. If anyone has any ideas feel free to post those as well. Right now I have the P4T, P4 1.4 and a 300W Antec to get it all started, though I'll proally upgrade to a 400W when I install CCFLs. Also waiting on some 423 to 478 heatsink adapters from Chrome, should be here next week. | ||
