| Ok guys, IÂ’m gunna start my first major project, the Liber Chaotica. I decided I didnÂ’t want to do the norm, window, LED fans, PSU sleeving...everyone dose that, and i wanted something COMPLETLY unique, so im gunna make a book case. WeÂ’re not talking your momÂ’s little romance novel, but a weighty tomb, just brimming with blaspheme! For those of you out there who know a thing or two about Warhammer 40K, then it will be easier to follow, but IÂ’m gunna try to make it so you donÂ’t need a background to understand. The Liber Chaotica (book of chaos) will be a book written by Imperial Scholars, listing the names of all the Demons encountered by the Imperium, and a catalog of chaotic blasphemes. I want to make it leather bound, with a nice branded cover, and am looking in to having the pages made of aluminum, about 1mm thick, with 1mm gaps, making the whole thing ventilated. im gunna have everything stealthed behind the leater, like ports and CD. I have access to an AutoCAD GOD, and a CNC machine, but it cant do metal, so if IÂ’m in need of some metal work, I would appreciate it if someone out there would help me out for cheap. Ok, so IÂ’m not well versed in this small stuff, so IÂ’m gunna need some help on system specs, but here is what IÂ’m looking at/for. Keep in mind it gunna be small, and probibly not a good OCer.
Im not sure from there, im gunna get a 90 adapter for the vid card...well, im not sure what else to post right now, but il have some consept sketches up soon, bu ask all the questions you want so i can clarify, but im at school, so i gota go. Last edited by Demon Made; 03-May-04 at 11:34 AM.. | ||

| I have already started a case with a very similar ideas only it will not have visible "pages". It is to look like an old book completely wrapped in leather,as to protect the book and will have some symbolage branded into it and some old looking straps holding it closed so to speak. No window, but I am putting small crack like cuts in various places and putting a crap load of amber LEDs inside to shine through the cracks like there is a sinister force inside waiting for you to let it out. I also wanted to build a small fogger to go inside to pump fog out of the cracks so the beams of light would show up like they do in the movies.I will post some pics shortly. For the pages, instead of using thin aluminum sheet you could just use a flat piece of acrylic or aluminum and cut/machine lines along the top and paint it up to look like old worn out pages. | ||

| I have the IGP version of that mobo, the 7NIF2 Summit, and it's a nice board. OCing is possible, but there's no Voltage settings, so it is limited. Even so, I'm running an 1800+ with a TT Silent Boost at 1912MHz, temps are under 45C. I RMAed one board, but I think that was due to metal particle contamination in my shop. I ran that OC, an FX5600, 120GB HD, Matrix Orbital LCD, a Netgear wireless NIC, 7 case fans and a Leadtech TV card...all on a 150W PSU. Since Enermax now makes a 250W mATX PSU, I have it running on that. The PSU you linked is pretty much the same as a Shuttle's that will run even more than I am, so you should be golden. The book idea sounds really cool. ![]() | ||
