| Seeing the competition's deadline is fast approaching, i decided to finally acquire some items over the weekend for my modding project. ![]() The idea is probably decent, but it will all depend on my (poor) execution skills ![]() basically, i plan on doing a certain "wall-hanger" type of thing, but i wont give much details because if i mess things up, you guys wont notice .... ![]() anyways, i wont be using a computer case, but it will have a motherboard, (which i will probably buy today) and a computer screen, and hopefully, it will end up looking like an iphone so here's the list of items that im using (and or plan to use) -Plexi glass sheet -Lexan adhesive -Paint roller tray -Glue -Fan Controller -Remote controlled "Power On" -VGA mounting plate soon to buy -LED's -Motherboard -Ram -Laptop HDD -Touchscreen LCD -Spray can paint (glossy white, and black primer) -Screws ![]() ![]() ![]() I was going to use this but due to SPACE LIMITATIONS, i decided not to ... ![]() ![]() ![]() | ||

| I finally purchased the mini-itx motherboard that i will try to accommodate inside the paint tray ![]() as you can see from this picture, the mobo itself is just a tad larger than the average sized cd ![]() so i went ahead and also purchased a mini PS which a this point im not too sure is going to fit well ![]() so anyways, i test fitted the motherboard considering that also the touch screen and hard drive need to be placed inside, with enough clearance for the fan controller and the remote ![]() for as much clearance as it appears to have, once i placed both things inside, i realized that i may need to buy a second paint tray, or perhaps a deeper one (if is even made) ![]() the cpu heatsink has clearance issues as well as part of the PSU but i wont be sure until i have the last piece ![]() so now, the deciding factor from either using this paint tray as the case, or buying something bigger, will be the touchscreen monitor .... once i get it, and see if there's more fitment issues, ill either add plexi to the sides, or join two trays together... hopefully once i get everything onto place, ill start the measurements, drilling, cutting, and painting ... ![]() | ||

| It doesn't look like you've done much. But some of the prizes will be a random drawing. You need to start a Work Log at A4T to be offically entered. Work Logs - Appetite for Tech | ||
