after much frustration i have decided i need a pc, i have all ways used a mac and i still
say there better (talk about sheep to the lions). any way i dont know how it is over is the us of a but in england it is close to imposable to get games for the mac and the ones you can get sux lara croft gold eddition 101 bloody arcade games, any way i need a gaming pc (all my serios stuff will be done on mac) so if your gonna do it do it right make it your self like all those umber cybers on pimprig. this is what i am hoping to use, i am a virgin at this so i prob got every thing wrong. so please tell me what i have done wrong and in return you can freely rip me apart for the mac comment. (ps i am a student so cash is important that y im buying from the us of a cheapo)

I don't see anything particularly wrong with what you've listed there, except:

1 - The case. Unless it's a temporary home while you mod another one ;

2 - The mobo wouldn't be my 1st choice ... and Abit NF7 series or AN7 would be my recommendation;

3 - Where you plan to buy it all from. Those suppliers have good reputations, but those great prices might not be so great when you consider a few extras:
- shipping
- unsavoury credit card exchange rate
- paying VAT on the stuff when it arrives here

4 - Some of the prices - £50 for a CDRW? £25-30 is more like it, & the Aero 7 HSF can be had for £25 or so.

hmmm i think i will take you advice on the case it will also cost the most in packaging im gonna go down my local maplens befoc i go down the pub and look for a plain case for modding, on that subject i had an idea for that how bout take out a window in the side and
using silk (black mmmm) in its place giving better venterlation + on dust allthought will i have to put a metal grid behind it and earth it to stop static? tell me what u think.

Maplin is a good choice for plain cases - they're well behind the curve in modding terms

If you want to do it for asthetic reasons, fair enough, but if you're thinking it's a good idea for ventilation, don't. "Ideal" case airflow is from front bottom (fnarr fnarr) to top back, having an "open" side will interfere with this. Depending on whether you've got positive or negative pressure, dust will build up on the inside or outside of the cloth. Don't bother with the metal grid.
