| Apex Techie I | do you have any ideas of a particular theme? thats where i start and just think of what colors will be appealing to you and will work with any theme you may choose since i'm imagine you're new to modding starting off with something simple like a paint job, window, and blow holes will probably do well. that case could definately benefit from the paint job and check out the How To section of the site for some info on doing the mods, other than that, welcome to pimp rig man How To Section | |

| those vent holes on the side look like they line up to make a perfect square if you connected them vertically why not cut a checker board window and do a chess theme or checkers use the little bump on the bottom of the front as the body of a pawn and cut a blow hole for the head then of course stealth the drives and get some old pieces and use them as the reset and power buttons i dont know why i share these ideas i should use them instead | ||

| Hi dudes, well ive currently cutted a 80mm blowhole @ the top of my case using my dremel skiils I was also messing around with some dremel parts, and ive got this wire brush, it makes a really COOL chrome effect on this beige, and another wire thing to polish it.... looks really cool. Erm, also, if the case is in chrome, and i dont want to paint it, how would i get like a shiny looking chrome ?? Cheers, Cool_Dude ![]() | ||

| Apex Techie I | doing it in chrome is a cool idea you can accomplish that by sanding it down to bare metal using 80-120 grit sand paper and then using higher grit sandpaper to remove the scratches and finally applying a polishing compound to get that nice reflective chrome look | |

| I used some Rust-Oleum Aluminum colored paint on a plastic floppy drive bezel that was in my Lian Li case years ago. It wasn't a bad match, but not absolutely exact (I later made a custom aluminum bezel for it). I don't have a pic of mine, but here are two similar ones in the Gallery: http://gallery.pcapex.com/showphoto....cat=all&page=1 http://gallery.pcapex.com/showphoto....cat=all&page=1 Just for the sake of options, you could always go with a blue, black, or a combination of something-and-silver front.. EDIT: I had bought the paint at Wal-mart, I just included the Rust-Oleum link above for illustration (I don't think you need $40 worth of paint). | ||

| I was thinking Black.... but any ideas how to like "blend" it in, as i dont like plain things... Im fussy ![]() Cheers, Cool_Dude P.S: Thanks Guyz For Your Advice So Far Edit: I like the look of this, but i dont want to do like the lines this person did, but some kind of technique like that (( blending )) instead of the plastic being black and the case alimnium looking,.... heres the image (( in attachment bit ))Some Design Ideas For The Part Where It Goes Onto The Side Panel Would Be Good [[ Dont have a theme ]]Thanks, Cool_Dude Last edited by cool_dude; 29-March-04 at 03:49 PM.. | The design you use will probably depend on the theme you go with -- you could do flames, a series of lines (maybe getting shorter from top to bottom), a halftone fade (solid fading to big dots fading to small dots), a lightning bolt zigzag, or whatever your imagination comes up with. For a more complex design (like the halftone fade), I wonder if it'd be possible to have a black graphic printed up on a clear adhesive sheet... | ||
