Well I'm pretty much done with my first project so I figure its time to start work on a computer I'm building for a friend of mine. This one probably wont have a lot of mods or anything too fancy but it will give me a reason to practice my airbrushing. I also wont be paying for this one out of my own pocket unless I'm feeling generous. lol. Anyways. Heres some pics of the case and some ideas for what she wants for a paintjob.

This is what my friend has narrowed her choices down to. Not to the scale the final product will be. I'm gonna need to practice my flames.

Gutted case. I like the nice bare aluminum. I'm not gonna paint the inside of this one. Might even polish the whole thing if she wants me to.


Not sure if I'm gonna use this one. It doesn't indicate how many watts it is. Looks nice though.


This was an easy case to strip. The top was only held on with a few screws.


Probably going to make an acrylic fan grill with the star.

Well thats it for now. Probably wont have much work to do on this one for awhile but any ideas/opinions are appreciated.

For a lady, eh? From what I have learned from the internet girls love ponies and the color pink. What color will the case be, or will you keep it beige as the background for the art?

Nothing wrong with your flames there, Ferrariferg ... but I think they might look better starting an 3/4s the width of the star instead of the full width.

The design also looks a little flat to me, perhaps if you made the points on the left hand side of the star smaller it would look like it's at an angle, I also think the lens flare (?) would look better on the 3 o' clock point.

The PSU does look good ... as a candidate for doorstopdom, I wouldn't trust it.

My only other thought is how about getting the side panels & top down to bare metal & spraying the front silver(ish)?

heres an idea paint the case a Light Blue and and lay down a white haze spot (like maybe a cloud or something)in the background where your going to put the decals...
