Thanks PCgEeK321, I do what I can with what I've got.

Well, I hope to have everything finished up this weekend. But I think I'm going to need more zip ties. If this case has a Achilles heel, it's the lack of a motherboard tray that you can hide stuff behind. We'll see how good my wire Fu is.

The rest of my parts got here today. I'm anxious to see if Sapphire's new wizbang vapor chamber cooler is as good as I've been reading about. It certainly doesn't look all that impressive, but if this little single slot cooler really can cool like the massive heatpipe coolers, I'm all for it. Getting Valve's black box in with the cards doesn't suck either. My old card is going in my HTPC.

Ah, the Wiring and Cabling fu...

I sense the fu is strong in this one... either that, or it's the camel kebabs that one of my LNOs brought me tonight, and I have indigestion...

dunno how much space you have behind the HDD cage, I can't really tell without being there and seeing it (wanna send it to me once I get back and I'll tell you then??? ), but you could use the excess space back there if worst came to worst...

Well, it's mostly wrapped up. The wiring took me forever, but it came out pretty darn clean. I used a bit of modder's mesh and some U-trim to fashion a cover for the wires as they come out of the psu. If I need to install something later in a 5 1/4 bay, I can move the mounting point outside the drive cage.

I've still got a few things I want to get done, such as deciding on lighting. But, I'm posting from it right now. And it looks like I wired the Bulgin switches correctly ... woohoo!

The Nexus fans are way quiet and even with no burn in time on the AS5, the IFX-14 is running cooler than the Ultra I was running. The rig is uber quiet, we'll see if it holds up under benchmarking.

I'll get some glamour shots up when I get some time.

Wow nice job on the wiring! I like what you did with the modder's mesh. It's the smallest details that set apart the good mods from the great ones.

Can't wait to see some benchies and temps.

Well, I know I promised some glamour shots, but with family visiting I just haven't had the time. I did manage a couple of benchmarks at my stock OC of 3.6.

3DMark 06 - 15310

3DMark 01 - 62647

Not too shabby. Auto-tune said 875 and 1275 for the clocks, I never got that to run stable though. But even at 860 the cards never went over 65C. That's probably 15 degrees cooler than the ATI stock cooler. I love new tech.

And I picked up my last components today, a pair of KRK Rokit 5 Studio monitors. 14 lbs. and 75 Watts each, they're a tiny bit larger than your standard computer speaker. I'm kinda old school, if it's not big and heavy ...it's crap. I've got a AV123 x-sub on order for my home system and will be moving my old Yamaha powered subby into the computer room.

My short review of teh Rokit's ...they rock. I fully intended to look at M-Audio AV40's and end up buying M-Audio bx5a's when I left the house this morning, but came home with these instead. Cheaper than the bx5's, and I honestly like them better. Now you know why I popped for the Auzentech Prelude card.
