What?s this? A third project going right now! So, as I finish TGS and Spaceballs, I?m starting this:

Indiana Jones: The Ark of the Covenant Mod!!

Here?s my SketchUp ideas.

Looks good! Do you actually possess that model of the arc and are you going to saw the angels off it and put them on top of the case?

How are you painting it?

Yeah I have the Ark Model, but it's small, like 4 inches long. I understand I could mod that shell, but I like the idea of wood better because it's more like the real Ark

Change of plans...

New list of parts.

Case: RAIDMAX xB ATX-528B Black

Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-73VM-S2 Onboard sound/video are good enough for now.

RAM: Mushkin 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 800

Accessory!: Gigabyte i-RAM iRam 2.0 Hard Disk With 4GB DDR400

Proc: Intel Core 2 Duo E6550

Heatsink: ZALMAN CNPS7700-CU 120mm

DVD Drive: LG

The case plans above are staying the same. Parts will be here by Wednesday, but I'm going on a little vacation after that and will start the beginning of next week.

So, I was looking at your model there, and I thought to myself ... I'm not sure that model does the Ark justice ... so I went and looked for a few online. Just trying to be helpful, you know. I found two pics of the Ark from the Indiana Jones movie that show some slight differences, and I also found pics of the headpiece to the Staff of Ra.

Maybe they'll be helpful ... maybe not.

Dude take your time and make the man PROUD!!!You have talents as we see in past.But this deserves your time and dedication.Hope to see your best work yet,well the only part that would be better is if it were a AMD build(lol)...I feel for the bang for the buck AMD has it going on.GOOD LUCK-I am watching this one...jo

So here I go. I painted the panels Gold.

As of right now I think I'm going to paint this mesh gold too and wrap the case in it.

And here's the PVC piping for the front and back pillars.

I added the decorative sheet metal

And cut apart the PVC pipes. Man this stuff kicks a lot of dust!

Then made it fit.

Thats pretty sic. Not sure what kinda look you were goin for, but it looks like the case is shrouded in chainmail, not a design of the arc(more of a last crusade tribute). As far as a window, im stumped. Still very pretty.
