Anyway... This is a secret project at teh moment so I can't give too much away!
Let's just say it's going to be a tribute to someone who I hold very highly in my
estime

It's a Thermaltake Soprano vb1000 in piano black.
This mod is more about performance and a nod of respect to 'said' someone.
It will be a showcase in essence and the case is not to steal the spotlight if
you will.

What I can tell you is this...
The chassis is going to be powdercoated by coolercasesuk ( Thanks Paul for all the info... )
in a "Blood Red"
The panels, externally will remain black but will be finished to a higher grade!
Sound proofing will infact come curtousy of the actual packaging my DD WaterBox came in

The window...
It's going to stay as is, but, It will have another sheet of "tinted" acrylic behind it.

Her face reminds me of a program I used to watch over here in the Uk when I was younger called spitting image! I'll try find some images/vidz later if I can...

Anyyyway, What do you guys reckon the best stuff would be to stick down that 'foam'??

But I think I am in love with that workplace.
My first guess for the book was Hillary also, but then I thought, "WTH was that author's name... I used to read all her books until she jumped the shark in Blowfly..."

As for the foam: There is some really mean double-sided adhesive tape that is e.g. also used to stick down foam to isolate windows (the foam goes on the outside between the window and the overlaping roof tiles). That would probably the easiest way.
I'd definitely check the hardware store and depending on how secure you want the foam to be also ask them for some glue.

Use that 3m tape MNPCTech is always raving about...

Paul has some really cool ideas for this one ( yes, i know he has loads lol! )
And from what he's told me it will be a tribute of some sort to one of his idles.
He knows he's no-where near as good as some of you guys but he really wants
to pull this one off

Damnit I so want to give you guys some spoilers but I'm gonna be strong
and stick to my guns! lol

Ok, so I said there will be a black or tinted sheet of acrylic behind the existing Thermaltake
window....
On the inner window there will be an etch, which all being well will be done by SnowMan,
I am in talks with him currently about this project!
The etch will be visible when the case is lit up and hopefully, invisible when the lights are off!

I'm hoping to get the chassis powdercoated by March but will update nearer the time.

Other than that, I have to save some kudo'z and order a ton of 'materials'

I'm also considering having the external sides of the case panels powdercoated
to keep a uniform of quality inside and out

So for now, Imagine a case that is a nice glossy black all over, inc the window - on the outside and a raw - blood red on the inside.

( If I say any more it will give the secret away! )

Neat man, that is the same case I use for my mom's KISS case, a good case to start a mod with...

The funny thin is that I have used packing foam like that before in a case and it did help with keeping the sound down. Good use for the stuff.

Well, my first 'order' has been placed

And no I can't tell you anymore lol....

And my second order is placed.... lol I love keeping everyone in suspence
I just hope the finished product is up to standards....
Hopefully I'll be getting the custom window and powdercoat done before the summer is up!
And then all to be done will be the front panel(s) I say (s) because being a soprano It has a door also.
Query........
Would a front panel from the tsunami fit the soprano?? without having to make alterations.

I will be ordering all kinds of Mnpctech goodies over the coming year and when this baby's finished she will be a Uk based Mnpctech showcase

Thanks to Bill, My case feet are here now, Bill had to send them to me direct from the states in the end so Props to ya bro
