ok well i have no clue what im doing. i will be moding the computer im typing on so i will have to put it back togeather to post. First i will not oder any thing form online i will build or buy every thing i need in town witch has no computer moding strores other then a best buy and a radio shack so this will all bee stuff i will make up as i go.
next there will be no idea or theam behind any of this other then makeing stuff i got in town for under $100 work and make a computer look neater then it did befor and add more funtion




here are some pics of what i have done i wanted to make a turbine looking fan for the frount so i whent out and got some adittc vents
i have a dreamal allready but i fond a cheeper $10 rorterry tool in the x mas gifts in the midle of the row in wallmart sorry for my bad typing i dont type very well but you get the idea

frist thing was to cut the 3in vent slits out so i used tin snips and a dremal and some files


then mark on the back of the bez where it was going to come out

and this is about as far as i got so far i used some dimonnd plate wallpaper to make a 5.1/4
drive bay side cover but ill get some pics of that tormow its been a long day at work and ill have to turn off to the computer to mod it....

If you are gonna hang here, Id come up with a plan, an idea, and a clue.
Maybe to start out with you should paint a big question mark on the side of the case, so you can think about what to do.

Be sure to read anything by mnpctech guy or however you spell his name. Hes bad.
Also browsing threw the image gallery for like a million years wouldnt hurt. Theres some bad stuff in there to.

yea i spent the last 9 hours watching mnpc tech vids and got some ideas for my turbine and i whent to napa and got me one of them military switches for my power button but then my bezle door broke and the whole reason i wanted a new switch was so i dident have to open the door any more =/ but o well ill think of some mew way to put it back on some hinges or soemthing but tormow i start cuting away i dont care for this case any more so if i screw it up no biggy any one got an idea for a cheep easy to work with and mod case ?

Get a pad off paper and start doodling,you'd be amazed at what you can come up with.

Really ,you need some kind of basic plan to get started or you'll probably just make a mess of it.

Very true. I thought i could keep all my ideas in my head, but instead you just end up keep changing something. If you make a plan of some sort you can at least finish a project and have plenty of ideas for the next modding session.

indeed but i kinda wanted a mess i wanted to try out evry thing that looked cool i dont care if it looks like crap in the end the fact that i made it look like crap wil be euff for me =)
if i plan on moding a case i will be keeping i will for sure make a plan this is an experiment to see what i can do with this case that is falling apart.
ps i type better when not coverd in glue and half asleep

ok well i got a plan now black flat colerd flames on the top and sides and the front bez will have the same with duled down metle colors and a turbine the vent slits on the door is replaced with gutter guard mesh cheeper then steel of the same pattern and its allready a flat back then it will be trimed with frosted tubes with leds and bad idea of the fighter pilot switch will be a blue led bulgin

Haha, I got the same case Im kinda motivated to re-mod mine now I wanna do the turbine mod in the front, but it seems like every one is doing it to this style of case

You know what? Go ahead and wing it. This isn't really a worklog, this is you playing with tools, and posting the results. That's okay, really. We won't take it seriously if you won't, and you do need to cut your teeth somehow.

I'll watch, just for the amusement aspect.
