| after im done chopping up the chassis need to put in some fan holes also need to put in a hole close to where the psu would so for cable management i came up with some ideas at work today here they are tell me what you think: 2 92mm fans stacked in the front 2 120mm bottom case 1 92mm rear after that then its time to exploit it not sure on the color yet but im leaning toward smoked acrylic or painting the the inside of clear acrylic flat black so it will have a high gloss black look if i do this then the lighting will have to be green split the side panel 75/25 and piano hinge them flush keep every on posted and up to date on it if anyone has any suggestion id like to here them Last edited by blue screen of death; 08-November-07 at 02:08 AM.. | ||

| havent thought about the hover factor yet but as for the dust i planed on using filters for that also the fans will all be on manual switches in the area next to the six fans on the side only the middle two fans on the side, top fan in front, and all 3 top case fans will be fixed on but thanx for the input | ||

| havent posted any thing in a while so just to keep you up to date : the rotary tool i bought got returned becust the screw insert stripped out after the first use (peice of crap dont buy it(Duarbrand) i guess you get what you pay for.But santa is going to be nice and give me a Dremel this year ![]() My fans came in the otherr day decided to go with the: Coolermaster 120 S12 4pack- 44.73CFM 19.1db Went with less fans for the reason that i found out the air flow commin in would be to great inorder to have good air flow the exsaust should be 2o% less than the intake so these 4 will be hooked up to a controller any one have a 4channel 5.25" they dont want anymore Last edited by blue screen of death; 02-December-07 at 09:31 AM.. | Thoughtful, logical airflow is a lot more useful than a sh!tload of airflow just for the sake of having fans. I first question why you're planning this, because... 1) People constructing cases entirely out of fans--it's already been done. 2) Airflow like you showed in your Photoshop images is really inefficient. It consumes a lot of power needlessly, and won't cool your case much better (if at all) than a well-planned airflow. It'll just create turbulence and all that turbulent air will be trapped inside the case. For example, if all the side panel fans are intakes, where is all that intake air going to flow? It can't go through the motherboard and motherboard tray and opposite side panel. So, you force it to make 90-degree turns to exit far fewer exhaust fans, which means a big airflow bottleneck and a bunch of hot, turbulent air swooping around inside the case because it can't vent. Time to re-think your fans/plans, unless you're going for the "novelty" of having a bunch of fans all over the place--which I've already pointed out is no longer novel, it's been done before, and it didn't work that well then, either. | ||
