| Sup guys, I was inactive for a long period of time, but I'm back with a new mod. I decided to scrap the Gateway project, I just modded it to my lowest standards, new coat of black paint, window, intake, put in an HDD cage from another case, had to mod the back I/O ports and PSU mount, and installed all my hardware and I'm currently using it as a local file server and a Counter-Strike 1.6 server. So, with only 4 weeks until the launch of the game Hellgate: London, I figured I would start a mod based on the game. I'm currently in the closed beta and under NDA so I can't tell you much about the game, but alot of what I already know will be incorporated into the mod. This will be my first mod that goes into more than just slapping in a window, some lights, paint, etc. I will be paying extreme attention to detail. There will be chopping, cutting, fan modding, painting, badass windows, cool lighting, water cooling, etching (hopefully), lots of interior work, built-in screens, bells and whistles, custom fan grills, etc. etc. I was going to do a Hellgate: London themed mod a while ago but I wanted to get my hands on at least a beta build of the game for more ideas to throw around about the case mod. It will be called "A Step Into Hell" and will be used as a DVR, and as a local file server running Linux off of a Pentium 4 3.0 GHz LGA775 processor overclocked to 3.6 GHz with 2 gigs of Corsair RAM, an NVidia 6600 GT video card, 2 80 GB Western Digital hard drive running in RAID 0, and 2 Western Digital 250 GB hard drives, all SATA. This computer will also be used as a game server at LAN parties. Me and my friends tend to have LAN parties quite a bit, usually with 10-15 of us. My mom still thinks that I'm somewhat retarded for buying new cases and hacking them up and modding them and crap when I have a perfectly good case here. But I don't really care because I want to mod a case, and I'm obsessed with Hellgate: London. I'm off to NYC for the weekend and when I get back the modding will begin! | ||

| Project: A Step Into Hell For this case mod I will be using a Lian Li PC-A05 black case as pictured here![]() There will be 2 independent water-cooling loops in this case with 2 seperate pumps. (I know you're wondering why, there's a method to my madness.) Here are some pictures I used for inspiration for my case, many of the themes in these pictures will be incorporated into the case. I won't go into any more detail until the case is in my hands and I begin modding, I like to build suspense. ![]() From IncGamers ![]() From IncGamers Getting my license tomorrow, and there's a Home Depot going in down the street that is getting done within the next month! I'm pumped. 3-5 days 'till the case arrives. I can't wait! Last edited by Lawton; 25-October-07 at 08:49 PM. | ||

| I really like the theme you have in mind. I think the spiral with spikes in the first picture would make a really kick ass window! Maybe even use a combination of red plexi and the frosted look around the inside circle lit with LEDs to achieve the same color scheme. I have been modding the same case for a few weeks now. It is a very high quality case, and for the price I can't really see anything wrong with it. Feel free to check out my worklog. I look forward to seeing progress. | ||
