O.K. here goes!!! This is my new Mech. I have named it the Shinigami. You'll have to do your own research to find out why. I started on sept 1st but have been way too busy to post. I'll try to catch up. I promised I'd do a worklog for my next project to a couple of people
I have no plan so you'll be as surprised as me when i'm done.

This is the lower torso. It wil house the power supply and the motherboard.




The power supply will set under the motherboard.

Sounds interesting. I will be keeping an eye on this.

This is what I like to call the 'idiot stop'. it serves as two purposes. 1. stops that annoying person we all know from turning the upper body too far. 2. a wire chase for the power switch etc.

Of course, who am I to complain-- my case says Kuroobi (black-belt) on it, and yet would be incapable of martial arts other than the "painful cut through sharp edge"

This is what I call the upper leg gear. It connects the leg drive to the upper leg.



I am using the 3/4 bolt as a clamp to glue the washer to the inside of the leg gear.



Upper leg. I just drilled pilot holes to attach to the leg gear.



Blue tape clamp . Getting ready to flip it and screw it...




So far so good.. top turns with out hitting no matter the leg position.. Love the gear, I think it adds a bit of coolness!!

Well I got about 16 days and at least 90 hours into her so far. Want to be done by oct 15th. Doing marathons on my days off. Thank 'someone' my wife understands and doesn't complain too much. My 5 year old girl wants a Burst Angel mod for her room next.

This is how the upper leg works. the inside tube keeps the compression of the leg nuts from crushing the wood.




Cut out and started the pattens for the missile bays. I have decide to use two sizes of missiles. the bottom are longer and bigger then the top. follows to reason since the missile bays are shaped that way.

about 11 hours on it today. doesn't seem like i got much done but i guess i did do alot of little stuff. anyway here's the pics.




Put the two front 120's in. I'll dremel the full circles out later.



You can see the two 4 in 3 devices installed along with the "new" hood. I drilled wrong and had to make a new one . you can see the hinges in the pic. after I paint you wont notice them.

This is my control center for my mech. Vfd Display, IR remote, USB, Firewire, headphones, microphone..yadda yadda. I am sacrificing a cooler master cm 281 for this mech. On the bright side, this is gonna make one hell of a home theater/ gaming case.

Control center for placement. I had to rebuild the leg drive to house the new control. it was 1 1/2 inches wider than I had planned.

Dremel'd the front 120's, bolted on the upper legs, placed the stops for the missile bay covers. I'll order magnets and set them in the wood soon. I did prelims of the right arm guns today. I'll get to work on it soon. Please don't tell my 5 yr old daughter that I cut her plastic baseballs in half so the auto cannons could pivot!!

Worked on lower legs today. There's a close up of how i put the upper and lower together. I haven't screwed everything together so its off kilter. looks wierd but will come together with feet attached.

it's gonna be maybe 3.5 ft tall to just shy of 4 ft. it should compact quite a bit when its in a walking stance though.
